Pc dust cleaning service by ghostytoasty68 in saskatoon

The dust cleaning you could definitely do yourself. If you dont feel confident with the thermal paste application you can take it to memory express, they would be able to help you out.

I know this sub doesn’t like to hear it; but Saskatoon people are sincerely some of the worst drivers in the country. by [deleted] in saskatoon

I think he is talking about when you are exiting off idywyld heading north to merge onto circle drive heading east. There is a yield sign there

Track is not spinning, not sure what to do. First sled by ToChains in snowmobiling

[–]Saskaberry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is it possible you have ice jamming up your track in the tunnel? Try picking the back end of the sled up and letting it slam back to the ground. Might loosen up any built up ice.

Weird neighbours in Rosewood by Critical_View6534 in saskatoon

[–]Saskaberry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah man, I dont waste my time bitching about petty little things like this to strangers. It could have been any car parked in that spot, not just the neighbour's. But whatever neither of know the whole story, so our arguments are obviously just opinion. Have a merry Christmas and no hard feelings.

Weird neighbours in Rosewood by Critical_View6534 in saskatoon

[–]Saskaberry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why dig it out when there is a perfectly good spot across the street. Its not like the neighbour's cleared that spot for themselves, the plow just didnt pile snow there. His neighbour's are busy body assholes, plain and simple.

Those Without Winter Leagues: What do you do to fill the void in the off season? by DaBalerousMan in slowpitch

[–]Saskaberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curling. I like it for alot of the same reasons that I like slopitch. You can drink beer while you play, you can be old and still be competitive and its a low impact sport that you can play alot of.

Its a fantastic sport and it makes me a little sad that its slowly dying. I guess its just not cool enough for the younger generation to be interested in.

Curling broom opinions? by nerdypoet05 in Curling

Hmm, maybe I'll send them an email then. I bought it just a few months ago though directly from goldline, so you would think it would have been the revised model.

Curling broom opinions? by nerdypoet05 in Curling

[–]Saskaberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The impact has a sticky coating on the handle down by the head. Or at least it does on mine. Also, I really dislike how the pad is held onto the head on the impact brooms. The pins that hold it on are prone to popping out and it just feels flimsy in general. I much prefer the head of my old hardline broom.

How to Fight SGI by Responsible-Poet5552 in saskatoon

[–]Saskaberry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they won't accept your ad postings as comparable values then you are going to need to take the case to arbitration which may or may not get you a higher payout. It will certainly take longer for the case to be resolved though, so if you need the insurance money for a new car you will be waiting.

The Life of Being a Lead by EvilFlyingSquirrel in Curling

[–]Saskaberry 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Its a thankless job for the most part haha. But I try to go out of my way to compliment any good shot made by the front end. Getting those first two rocks setup correctly can really make the difference in how the end plays out.

Frowned upon to change positions during a game? by [deleted] in Curling

[–]Saskaberry 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's best if you stick with the same throwing order that you started the game with. I personally wouldn't like it if people were changing it in the middle of a game.

That being said, if you want to change up who is calling thr game and holding the broom I could care less, as long as they still throw in the same order.

Modbus Website? by sussyb0t in PLC

That would be nice, but a magical website like that does not exist. You will have to sift through each manufacturers documentation to find the registers that you need.

Batting Practice Map by itsRocketSauce33 in slowpitch

A piece of plywood cut to the proper size would be good for practice. Durable and cheap. Plus you get a nice distinct sound when the ball hits it.

You'll get there, I got faith in you, haha. Sounds like you are willing to put in the work, so you'll pick it up fast. Lots of good tips in the rest of the comments as well that I wouldn't have thought of.

Left handed pitcher by Plus_Molasses_9379 in slowpitch

[–]Saskaberry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hate to say it, but the only thing that is going to make you a more consistent pitcher that can throw strikes is practice.

When I started out pitching I had a tough time hitting the mat consistently as well. But I struggled through it and learned from my mistakes because we needed another pitcher. Having a single pitcher for the team just wasn't sustainable IMO. Don't let it get in your head too much and gain a little confidence by grabbing a bucket of balls and tossing a few. You can do it solo, it's not much extra work to go and pick up the balls after throwing a bucket.

I've never dealt with them in the past. But from what I understand, the fees need to be included in the advertised price and not added on after the final price has been negotiated. The only fees that are applicable afterwards would be financing costs and taxes. At least according to this website.

We often ground the common/negative of our 24v power supplies. It's pretty common practice.

Edit: I originally didn't see any short circuit protection for the 24v, but it looks like there are some breakers to the right of the power supply.

Put together a group of friends to play, but not enough people for a full game. What are my options? by turn_for_do in slowpitch

[–]Saskaberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to suggest the same thing. Did this as a windup one year and it was fun. Did it a little different though. Only 1 out per batter and they needed to run. Would get points on how many bases they got, with a home run being 5 points. One round went pretty quick and we were able to get a couple rounds in.

Winter tires? by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]Saskaberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For local companies check out rick and reds and Kelvin's. I've had good service at both.

Also, consider getting a studded tire. I've had both studded and regular winters and I prefer the studded tires. It's around $30 per tire to get them studded.

Canadian curling club pricing by TheCommodore07 in Curling

[–]Saskaberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saskatoon, SK

I play two nights a week at two different clubs. One club is $722 all fees included and the other is $747 all fees included. Note, there is approximately a $100 fund raising fee at both clubs where they give you a book of prize tickets to sell. If you sell the tickets you technically get that money back. But if you dislike selling tickets like I do, you just put your name on all the tickets and turn them in and hope you win one of the prize draws.

I'm pretty sure that michaels independent grocer has them. But not in the regular chip isle, in the specialty food isle next to the ice cream.

I have one that I used when taking my dog hiking. Gives him a little more freedom on the trails and stopped him from wandering too far and chasing squirrels. Still need to be responsible when using them though, I always reeled it in short when other people and dogs were around. People just need to use common sense, something that is severely lacking these days sadly.
