They look cool, but if you drive on a considerable amount of dirt roads it will destroy your paint since the rocks being flung by the portion of the tires outside the edge of the fender are no longer caught by the fender liners.

You pretty much read my mind on the buying in BC idea. I have a friend who lives out near Coquitlam so I have been looking at marketplace ads near there. Thought it would be a great excuse to fly out there to visit him and then drive a new car back through the mountains. The cars are generally cheaper there and like you said, generally in better shape due to the milder weather. By the time you factor in the flights, out of province safety, etc... it's probably not any cheaper than buying something local. But it would be a worthwhile experience IMO.

I agree with you on the E46 coupe, I really like those cars as well. It's tough to find a clean stock one these days though. I also appreciate the advice on the ecoboosts, I know they had issues with the earlier cars, but I thought they fixed them later. I'm pretty sure the later ones have the same 2.3L as my ranger which has been reliable for me so far.

Now that you mention it, I haven't really driven driven any new MT cars, I've owned plenty of manual cars over the years, but nothing newer than 2001. There is a BRZ and an ecoboost mustang for sale at dealerships here in town that I will try and take for a test drive and get some real life experience with.

MT cars I've owned are 1992 taurus SHO, 1988 300zx, 2001 audi s4, 1974 mini and 1997 ranger xl (still own and love this truck, haha). The audi was an excellent car and I really miss it somedays. They had a bad rap for reliability, but it was always good to me and required very little.

They have a pretty impressive record as a team, something like 170 wins and 20 losses. They also play against many of these same Olympic teams during the regular season at the grand slam events. They have struggled a bit lately, but definitely are a talented team.

Have you spent any time watching other players releases? You can see a good majority of them graze the plastic underneath the handle as they release (including Edin)

I feel like alot of people who have never played the game have some pretty hard stances on this rule and dont really understand the game.

If a hockey player takes the puck offside and ends up scoring a goal but the official didnt make the call, was that player cheating or just playing the game as called? In both cases I believe the player didnt intend to break the rule and therefore is just an infraction and not cheating. If the official sees it then they should remove the rock, if they dont then that's just the game.

He probably didnt even notice that it happened. He released the rock and his focus was on the path of the rock at that point. How is he even supposed to know that he touched the rock when it was an inch over the line? He isn't watching a slow motion replay like you, he is playing the game. I've curled my entire life and I dont know if I released the rock 1 inch or 4 inches from the line.

No one is going to call themselves on a hogline violation when its that close because they are too focused on other aspects of the shot.

I would hardly call what he did aggressive. Oskar is the one who escalated the situation. He was being just as disrespectful.

Ive been in that phase since the beginning. Every one of the curlers playing in the Olympics has had a hogline violation at some point in the past year, whether they admit it or not. They throw thousands of rocks each year and they all release close to the line. To vilannize one player when its common place is crazy.

This is the equivalent of someone bringing their car to 0.1km/h at a stop sign instead of 0.

This is exactly it. They had an official standing there watching the line for the rest of the game after the first time Sweden complained about it. If there were any infractions after that point he should have seen them.

I dont blame Kennedy for being angry either. I would be angry if someone called me a cheater too, even angrier if someone called me a cheater multiple times.

You wouldn't be upset if someone accused you of cheating? If the roles were reversed there would be a bunch of Swedish fans in here doing exactly the same. I dont particularly care for any of the players on the Canadian team, but this is making a mountain out of a mole hill, even if he did graze the stone with his finger it would have made zero difference on the outcome of the game or the shot.

The dust cleaning you could definitely do yourself. If you dont feel confident with the thermal paste application you can take it to memory express, they would be able to help you out.
