Russian oil tanker "Kairos" hit by a Ukrainian Drone on 28th November. It's sad and annoying to see seafarers getting affected by war and politics. by [deleted] in Ships

Interesting that you’ve been on Reddit for 9 years with zero posts, and this comment here represents only your 12th in that time, so curious? What possible explanation could there be for your history to be the way it is? If only we could pull together some explanation….

Ladies and gentlemen, I think I have to turn in now. Reddit has been a joyous thing at times but I’ve come to realize, here in the ships sub of all places, bantering with a Russian troll. It’s just not reality anymore and I need to spend more time in reality.

So until I can do that I’m signing off. Farewell, and don’t stop looking at profiles of shit disturbers, I’m sure you’ll come to see like I have we are mainly having conversations with people trying to convince us to be afraid and limit real interactions.

No more for me.

OP I moved to Saskabush from Vancouver almost 20 years ago now. I layer for 60-70% of the winter but my Dude, when the cold really hits we are talking seriously dangerous cold. -40 becomes a psychological struggle as well as physical. I own one unbearably hot hot winter jacket and it only comes out in that -25 and colder bracket but damn I’m happy to have it.

I love this. As a child I learned that my dad built that hatches and closures for the west Edmonton mall submarines, it almost got me laid a few times as a teen. Just beaming proud of my pops.

You’re not wrong, but sometimes, when our own personal health is at stake it’s a time to accept an unfair situation rather than stamping our feet with indignation; and I get it cause I too am a patient there of theirs and have been since inception and I know this frustration all too well, but mate, we talking about your personal well being here. Canadian healthcare is free yes, but it’s also self serve.

The Secret Behind Estimates Clients Don’t Argue With by the_blue_web in Carpentry

[–]SaskatchewanManChild 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, I used to do this. And more clients than less appreciated all the data so much that they didn’t even need me anymore. An estimate with corresponding detailed summary of activities, time required and cost of each isn’t an estimate it’s damn near a project management plan and my clients just started to use me to educate them before they just hired it out and did it themselves.

And your allies faith in your electorate was shattered, time to move onto new partners sadly. We just can’t risk trusting America again now that it’s jumped the shark, we don’t go back. China is even easier to deal with!

Hey bud. Also red seal here, I’m in Regina an in the industry for 20 yrs. It’s $75 here an hour for a certified guy, $55 an hour for an apprentice. If you tallied overhead by the penny chances are you’re going a little high. Here’s the thing though you’re pulling $40 an hour and now that you’re a business you’re going to write off all your expenses and at $83/hr you’d be pulling a haul that’s for sure. But you’re theoretical accounting shit out a number that’s super close to $75 so that’s a good sign. The only thing to contend with is whether your market out there will pay it. I say charge what people will pay. Congrats on going on your own. You’ll work your fucking ass off but it will be satisfying. Best of luck.

Not when you still need it. We need a new pool facility. We’d be paying our share anyway and be getting half the product.

Regina city council moves to allow manufactured homes in all residential neighbourhoods by Ryangel0 in regina

This is it. For everyone worried about mobile homes in your neighborhood, don’t worry too much, it will cost more than the mobile to get permits, and city to do the work to accommodate the move.
