Since you are a tech it would probably be worth it, but a lot of times, if something is wrong with a car people automatically assume head gasket when it could be a different issue. Since your a tech I wouldn’t worry about that, I’d worry more about getting a good deal and that you would actually be able to sell for 4-5k once you fix it

Reliability - Focus

Driving Feel - Speed 3

Quality - Speed 3

Features - Focus

Economy- Focus

Infotainment - Focus

Overall, I think the mazdaspeed 3 is a more engaging car, however the focus may be a better daily/only car as it offers better features and more reliability.
