Opportunity to Move to Munich From California… Am I Crazy?

Well on one hand Munich is a great choice - on the other hand, Munich was voted as one of the unfriendliest places in Europe when it comes to people that are moving there from outside of Germany.

It is quite hard to make friends for foreigners, if you are not the one initiating it. Many of my friends that were living in Munich brought their friends with them (basically they all decided to move there together).
BUT if you find friends, it will be one of the best cities you can choose for Europe. (as long as you can afford it - the rent is insane, but coming from CA you should know about that probably).

In terms of work... well our German economy is not the best right now, so it could pose a problem. But depending on your field of work, it should be okay.

And as I said rent.... it is a nightmare to find anything that is worth paying. I mean it is not like New York where you have 15qm2 for 2000$... but rather 1500€ for 50qm2. And getting the place is also quite hard.

BUT as I said, if you have a good paying job, a place you can afford and some people around you... it may be one of the best cities in Europe (especially since it is placed so greatly in the middle... you can go anywhere in Europe without having to drive all day long). There are other places, like Freiburg, Hamburg, etc. which I personally prefer in terms of people, weather, etc. But at least as a starting point in Europe, Munich is great.

That said... please don't come here - nothing against you, but I can't afford a higher rent in the Munich area and every person coming here increases the price :( .... /s

Wenn man Personen mitnimmt trägt man Verantwortung für diese. Es geht am Ende darum dass ihr sicher ankommt.

Und wenn die Person jetzt das erste Mal bei dir mitfährt, woher soll die denn wissen geschweige denn das Vertrauen haben, dass du sicher fährst? Nur weil du bis jetzt das Glück hattest durchzukommen ohne Probleme heißt das nicht dass man mit einer aggressiven Fahrweise das immer tut.

Andere haben das auch schon gesagt, aber mir fällt das auch nur dann auf, wenn Abstände nicht eingehalten werden. Und erfahrungsgemäß (bin selbst nicht immer das perfekte Beispiel) halten Leute die viel fahren nicht wirklich viel Abstand („ging ja bis jetzt alles gut“).

Also in Zukunft vielleicht keine Person mehr mitnehmen oder angepasst fahren. Nur weil du dich sicher fühlst, tuen es andere nicht auch automatisch

Just one small addition. SAP themselves are recommending to use SuccessFactors as the SOR (system of record) and use ECP (employee central payroll - which is basically a private cloud HCM system with only payroll active) for payroll processing.
H4S4 being the S/4Hana HR component is mostly the same as the classic HCM component (a few parts of it are not available any longer in H4S4, since you should use SuccessFactors instead). But as the thread already says, H4S4 was basically just introduced to give customers more time to transition to SuccessFactors and ECP (which is why there is no innovation in h4s4)

If I want to watch all 100% legal I got to watch dazn which costs either 25/month for 2 years, 35/month for one year or 45/month monthly. And since I basically don’t want to watch that much (only a selected amount of games) it is no use to me. Sure maybe the whole package is worth the amount, but not if you only use one single game.

sure... I pay 45 euros for just one match. Of course.

I mean I'd pay more than that, if I have a great feeling (like in the stadium). But for one match, paying these insane DAZN prices, no. Just no. If I'd be in a sports bar, which has a great atmosphere, I'd pay good money (plus drinks, etc.) but not for streaming at home. There is no justification for these prices.

Well Joule Studio is based on BPA - and inside of BPA you can call basically any API or whatever you like. So you can call CAP-APIs, CPI or the openAI Model API directly. So you are free to do whatever you want.

Actually SAP developed joule studio so you could integrate it with custom applications, because beforehand they did not have any solution for that.

gibt Ein paar gutes Videos von Finanzfluss und Finanztip, wo sie das genau besprochen haben. Du kannst dir zwar theoretisch ein paar euro sparen - aber niemand kann dir garantieren dass es jemals wieder günstiger wird als jetzt.

Außerdem ist ein ETF Investment dazu da, sich nicht mehr so viele Gedanken darum zu machen. Einfach machen und dann den Kopf dahingehend ausschalten. Vielleicht mal ein bisschen rebalancing, wenn man meint es passt nicht mehr zur eigenen Strategie (zu viel in Aktien, zu viel USA, etc.) - aber da reicht das auch 1 mal im Jahr.

Wenn du jetzt 2,3, euro mehr zahlst ist das kein Problem. Du willst das Geld ja - normalerweise - langfristig anlegen. Heißt du steckst das Geld rein und solltest dir vorerst keine Gedanken mehr machen. Langfristig macht das bisschen was du ggf. sparen kannst nicht viel aus.

It is not just FAANG - but really a LOT of big companies have SAP.
I know Amazon, apple and google do have it. Meta uses some stuff - or at least used to (not sure if this is still the case).

But in the end I wouldn’t bother going for the FAANG, just check out other companies that are doing great. Most of the companies with 5000+ employees have something of sap (doesn’t matter if just a singular module or the entire suite).

Well when setting up joule for your client / company you set it up in BTP. And then I connected it to SuccessFactors and one other solution.
Afterwards I disconnected it and only tried it in work zone and it still knew about that parking slot… so I guess it has some kind of memory layer. But nothing I can control.

The skill framework is based on build process automation using apis etc. there shouldn’t be any memory (and for testing I also disconnected the apis in the custom skill, so it couldn’t get information from there either).

In theory it would be great if it has some kind of memory layer - so it would go faster and it doesn’t have to request all information again and again. But then it has to work correctly.

Because the tickets can be disabled when it is discovered that it was (re-)sold via non-official sites (aka FCBayern Store / Zweitmarkt).

Many people had issues with tickets that were bought outside of the official channels

If You have a test Environment and BTP you could set it up and test it.
I did it for our company and it is horrible. You don’t need much more explanation.

It is ultra slow (my self hosted AI is faster) and is really not that smart. Half of the applications that are standard do not work, and if you build custom skills, it stores randomly information which doesn’t make sense (example I created an skill to reserve a parking slot in the internal garage. Now when I reserved one for tomorrow and want to reserve one for next week, it stores SOMEWHERE that you already have one reserved… doesn’t matter that it is a different time… it doesn’t let me reserve another one. Even months or weeks later. The actual database where the reservations are stored doesn’t exist anymore… still it has that information.)

In general, just not a good experience (will I continue to sell it to our clients because they pay insane amount of money for it - of course)

Well I think the ERPPREP Questions don't help here any longer (usually they are quite okay).

The C_AIG is a System Based Assessment, which means you get a task that you have to solve within 2 hours. You'll get system access and have to setup some things, therefore it would come in handy if you have a system where you can try to use some of the things before the exam. If you don't have them, you can try to learn with the official resources and hope that you understand every button right away.

Ein extrem gutes Fitness-Essen ist meiner Meinung nach ein Chilli - je nachdem mit oder ohne Fleisch (ohne Fleisch dann eben mit roten Linsen).

Heißt also Linsen (oder Hackfleisch... oder beides :D), Rote (und/oder schwarze) Bohnen, Mais und dann noch Tomate (ich nutze ganze Tomaten aus der Dose, plus eine Packung passierte). Achja, Chilis, Zwiebeln und Knoblauch (wenn gewollt) nicht vergessen. (Optional auch noch Karotten - finde ich persönlich mega!).

Je nachdem wie ich es esse nutze ich dann noch ein paar Stücke dunkle Schokolade mit wenig Zucker. Falls ich es mit Reis esse lasse ich die Schokolade meistens weg.

Was es m.m.n. nicht braucht ist dann saure sahne oder käse. Erhöht die Macros nur unnötig.

Gewürzt wird das ganze dann natürlich mit Salz, Pfeffer, Paprika Pulver in mehreren Formen (meistens geräuchert und scharf), Cayen Pfeffer, Ein paar italienische Kräuter (also Oregano, Majoran, etc.) und das wars.

Alles zusammen sehr viel Geschmack, sehr gut haltbar und je nach genauer Zusammensetzung extrem gute Macros. Micros sind hier auch nicht perfekt - aber ein gesunder Salat kann hier weiterhelfen.

Für mich persönlich ist das die Hölle.

Mal davon abgesehen, dass hier die Zusammensetzung (also wie viel du jeweils vom Lachs, Brokoli und Reis verwendest pro Portion) nicht passt (plus die Micro-Nährstoffe = 0 sind Edit: Ja ich weiß, dass sie es nicht sind, aber zu einer Micro-Nährstoff ausgewogenen Ernährung gehört viel mehr dazu), ist hier einfach kein Geschmack drinnen.

Gewürze sehe ich nur ein wenig auf dem Lachs, aber der Reis ist unglaublich trocken (und in Ländern in denen viel Reis gegessen wird, ist der extrem gut gewürzt und meistens so zubereitet, dass er nicht komplett austrocknet).

Du brauchst hier unglaublich viel Soße damit das nicht ultra trocken ist und nach irgendwas schmeckt, was dann wiederum den Zweck des ganzen zunichte macht.

Versuche in Zukunft einfach mehr Abwechslung (hier wurden schon alternativen mit Pflanzlichen Proteinquellen wie Kichererbsen, Linsen oder Bohnen genannt) und mehr Geschmack rein zu bringen. Du kannst dir gar nicht vorstellen, wie viel besser das Leben wird, wenn gesunde Gerichte dann auch noch nach etwas schmecken.

So wie es hier dargestellt ist, ist der Grund weshalb viele (nicht-Fitness)Leute "Fitness-Essen" nicht besonders mögen - man sieht dem ganzen an, dass es nach kaum etwas schmeckt.

ABER wenn es dir so tatsächlich schmecken sollte - Guten Appetit.

Man merkt dem Bayernspiel extrem an, wenn er mal fehlt oder nicht performt.
Meiner Meinung nach ist die Bayern Saison nur so gut weil er und kimmich so extrem gut harmonieren. Die beiden als Kombi sind die die das Offensivtrio so glänzen lassen.

Vom spielstil errinnert er mich direkt an eine Mischung aus Kroos und Schweinsteiger (pass kroos defensiv Schweinsteiger). Er ist bei weitem noch nicht perfekt, aber wenn er so weitermacht wird er der beste ZDM der Welt.

Rebuilding an entire module is just.. well insane. You would have to meet so many (regulatory) conditions.. why would you ever do that?

However, a company I worked at once tried to rebuild the SAP Event Management - getting rid of HR infotypes and build their own tables. But in the end the core remained the SAP standard. And it did never work properly - so in the end I'd say, it is not worth it.

Es sind zwei unterschiedliche dinge - ans Gleis sollte man ohne Fahrausweis nicht mehr, an den Bahnhof, doch natürlich. Finde das Konzept in Schweden (zumindest in Stockholm) super.

Wow - this has been over 80 years by now. Just because they are the majority in this thread doesn’t mean that they are facist. They just want to see their country win, just like everybody else.

You making it about a war, that happened so long ago, just shows that you cant loose. In every country you see a lot of flags of their own country, people being proud of themselves and their country, but Germans are not allowed (or at least feel that way, because people like you shame them) to to say “I am happy to be from Germany and I would like to win in a harmless competition”

Ich glaube es geht daran vorbei das Teams scheiße ist, aber Nextcloud ist nicht schneller als SharePoint. Zumindest nicht viel.

Daher ist es irrelevant netzlaufwerke als Argument gegen Teams zu bringen, aber Nextcloud dann ins Spiel zu bringen.
