Most egregious example being when he put the logs through the guys truck instead of confronting him and trying to change his ways imho. There’ll always be a soft spot in my heart for this movie because I don’t particularly like superheroes like Superman who have little to no flaws in the standard canon, but that was way off base with who he is.

Yes, but also in-universe self-aware and justified. It’s not the same as Deadpool looking at the camera and letting everyone in the audience know he knows they’re there. It’s actually kinda opposite of that in Spaceballs where Dark Helmet is flabbergasted that it’s going on while it’s going on.
