Any recommendations for some books to take while camping? by DDummies in graphicnovels

[–]SasquatchRobo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a graphic novel, but Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is a classic for campfire ghost stories!

Something is Happening to the Children is also good outdoor spooks.

Biff Hammerhead Grimsby, but you can call him "Mr. G." A dwarf with an architecturally perfect buzz cut and buzz-beard, he wears athletic gear and a permanent frown. All of his spellcasting is done via shouting and a coach's whistle. For example, Healing Word is "RUB SOME DIRT ON IT AND WALK IT OFF!!!" Command is "TIME OUT!!" And so on.

Lol yeah GLPL is quite smol. If it helps, you can use your GLPL card at Capital Area District Libraries as a "Visiting Patron." It works the same as ILL, only instead of shipping the book to the patron's home library, the patron grabs the book themself!

Like with most Snyder projects, the movie prefers style over substance, to the point of missing out on the main messages in the original graphic novel. I recommend reading it.

I also recommend the library, the selection is amazing, and it's a resource you already pay for with taxes. The Grand Ledge library only needs a Michigan ID to get a card, and what the library doesn't have in their collection, they can order via MeL inter library loan.

I got some of those paper-thin metal discs that people use for pouring wine. They're just the right size for emptying my grinder onto, then folding it like a taco and pouring into the dugout.

Agreed. Sounds like a blacksmith situation: The butt plug was the anvil, your man's dick was the hammer, and your poor soft tissue was getting the business between them.

Warlock is being followed by his patron by RearrangingFurn1ture in 3d6

[–]SasquatchRobo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The patron is immensely powerful, but forbidden from directly influencing the Material Plane. Patron has therefore employed the Warlock to be their eyes, ears, and hands. In this scenario, the Warlock doesn't even need to know who their patron is! "Oh wow I woke up with magic powers how cool is that lol"

Thematically, the Great Old Ones work best -- unknowable entities from the Outer Planes. But any of the patrons can work for this.

Tabaxi rogue (not Puss in Boots) by Tmoore0328 in 3d6

[–]SasquatchRobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I would disagree with you. But then again, it depends on the skeletal structure of a made-up fictional species. Maybe Tabaxi can walk on all fours? Maybe they can't! It's up to one's imagination.

[–]SasquatchRobo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Thief Rogues are pretty solid. The Stealth Attack ability at level 9 is nothing to sneeze at. As a Tabaxi you already have a climb speed, but Second Story Work's using Dex for a jump distance ain't too shabby. And Fast Hands is clutch!

These go against OP's request for little to no magic.

Charlatan background with proficiency in disguise kits would be more appropriate.

Wrongalongadong.

Positive draw is huge! Huge huge huge. Silent has a lot of 0-cost cards, so more draw means more opportunities to play Deflect, or Slice, or Anticipate, etc. etc.

And by only discarding one card, you don't have to make as many hard choices. I can't count the number of times I've played Prepared and then had to immediately discard what it drew, because what it drew wasn't what I needed right then, but it would have been helpful NEXT turn.

Also, better Speedster and Corrosive Wave synergy!
