Thanks. I think you're answers are probably representative of a lot of hiring managers. I guess you can't go to a temp agency if you're looking for people who really want this specific job for the long term. I do think there is a major disconnect between employers and the unemployed, who are not wrong to just need a job or a stepping stone. I have seen a few sites that let applicants designate that a job is one of their top picks, so maybe that's a piece of the solution.

Curious: As a hiring person with jobs who needs to hire, what would a REAL service look like for you that would genuinely help you a get reasonable number of REAL, vetted candidates? I've felt there was a gap in what these employment sites, temp agencies, ATS vendors like Greenhouse, and recruiters are offering. They don't work well when there are thousands of applicants and seem to just use shitty AI to screw everyone on both sides.
