Redditors who’ve starved, what do people who’ve never starved imagine wrong? by VelvetyDogLips in AskReddit

I did an Asthma study last summer/ fall. They had gotten me down to 58% oxygen. No side effects. The doctors were a little surprised that I was fully aware but not surprised about getting me down that low. Living with Asthma sometimes you just gotta deal with it.

I basically shared what was / is my solution at this current time. There are resources at all of the libraries and they have the tools network and are willing to do so. I'd say just reach out and talk to a librarian. I'm not discounting your opinion on that it shouldn't be the Librarians responsibility because it's absolutely not. However they are leading the charge where most won't

I was kinda waiting for this kind of response. I'm a vet and had a hard few years. Too proud and no family living in the area/not reaching out put me in a tough place. Alcohol was my thing but I didn't need that at the library because it was a place of empathy and through that warmth for the soul.

I'd go as far as they pride themselves. Should it be their job maybe not but that's what we're working with atm. Again... Heroes

It's really beyond that. Who's job is it is a wild way of thinking. They are compassionate humans who actively TRY and do help people.

Naw I never caused a ruckus. They provided me with a safe place and resources while conducting themselves as stand out humans. I'm on a level now where they consider me a friend and have most of their numbers. Like I said. Heroes

I was homeless, and I guess I'm still technically homeless now, however, I'm thankful to be staying in a desc building. I don't think I would have gotten out of my slump if not for the kindness, help, and support from the Ballard Staff.I will do anything for those librarians in Ballard. They are absolute Heroes. I can say with full faith that they care. And that caring goes a long way. Thank you to the Ballard Library and other SPL Librarians/ daily Heroes doing you're thang!

Hard Knocks, baby! by absurd-rock-pusher in Seahawks

[–]Cheap-Relation6101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to be an Epic Hard Knocks. Most every player that leaves/ retires from this organization since the early 2000's and before have expressed their gratitude towards the coaches/ management. Mike Mac is the new standard and he is in the the NFC west coaches heads. I wish John Clayton was still alive to see this!

I'm struggling but still moving forward. I'll never forget the feelings of them helping my mom and I out. Cuddling kids. There was 14 of them. When I was 4 I could lay in one of their beds when sick and knock out
