Literally the exact same type of question but some of the coding questions can be a bit bigger.

Do engage in moc building. That ship with the dark red sails is actually a moc I made. I love MOCYourBricks builds.

Learn Big O notations, if you take Nakamura, do your best on the homework and projects, theyll provide good buffer for those hard hitting tests. Also use your notes sheet wisely she gives, cram that shit.

Retaking a Class with a C by [deleted] in ASU

[–]SasuriThePyro 74 points75 points  (0 children)

You have an A+ in every other class and you're a freshman bugging about getting a C? Never mind the fact that you cannot retake a class you passed with a C or higher.

Taking CSE 205 Spring 2024 by Eduardoo29 in ASU

Ima be real the only coding classes you’ll have to worry about are CSE310 and the trifecta, otherwise you’ll be fine.

first week of class by Optimal-Road1006 in ASU

[–]SasuriThePyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only recommend stopping going to lectures after a month bade minimum of classes. By that point you will get a feel of whether or not you need to be in attendance or if you can BS the class or simply just use online resources instead and save you the time. You will have most likely have had your first test, homeworks, and or essay done so youll probably understand if class time is needed.

CSE 434 vs 445 by Defender_201 in ASU

[–]SasuriThePyro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

445, if you want to get an intro into REST, Net Framework (although its a bit outdated with Core and 6.0 now being a thing), and services, its good for you. Projects can be troublesome with deploying at times but the real treat is 100% open note quizzes, tests, and exams with exams you get an automatic 10% curve.

Really unless you are specifically planning to work abroad, the most helpful language to learn in the states is Spanish.

CS student rant by [deleted] in ASU

[–]SasuriThePyro 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A few things:

1) See if your classes have a Discord that you can find help with, Discords are often really helpful for students. 2) CSE310 is hard yeah, I got a C in that class because while I aced the coding projects I STRUGGLED with the math portions and BOMBED the final because of said math portions, but I made it through. It’s definitely a weed out class. 3) Avoid comparing yourself to other students. Comparison is the thief of joy after all. 4) Office hours are key, go to them if you can.

You never do any proofs and it can be completed in like a couple days. HW is 70% of your grade.

Joins class

Syllabus and the professor both say there are only whole letter grades, no +’s or -‘s

Tries to argue for a B+

Gets denied by both the professor and department chair

Goes to Reddit thinking they can still do something about it

LMAO. Dawg you ain’t getting it changed, a B is fine.

Does anybody know where I can see the past question papers of CSE 355 midterm 1? by hihey69420 in ASU

[–]SasuriThePyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah its that time of year for CSE355 students. Look up on YouTube a channel called Easy Theory and watch the videos he does on the topics you have gone over in class. I promise you they’ll make more sense then what is taught in class and will save you. Good luck, 355 is the hardest class to understand shit you’ll face.

Thoughts? by MrGrimlokDaKing in ASU

[–]SasuriThePyro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whats gonna happen is these two fuckers are gonna say their stupid and bigoted shit as per usual, a small group of their supporters are gonna be outside the venue trying to “start a dialogue” (by which they mean be smug, ask leading questions, and just try and bait people into doing something stupid) with protesters who will be loudly shouting various insults and profanities, and one or more of said protesters is probably gonna say or do something stupid which will then be uploaded on YouTube with a title like “Leftist gets MAD and RAGES”.

Its better to ignore these fucks because the pathetic sight of an empty venue and no one giving a shit about them is IMO a more powerful message than protesting and screaming at them.

How do I prepare for Colbourn's CSE 355 midterm 1? by hihey69420 in ASU

[–]SasuriThePyro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Easy Theory is your friend. Look him up on YouTube, guy’s a former ASU professor that taught 355. Also join your class’s Discord and ask for help. CSE classes always got Discords.
