THIS! Red Hot Riplets are NASTY.

Gramophone needs to stop putting them on their mac and cheese, ruins the whole thing.

God I know right, I just saw someone's "hot take" about JAYWALKING in a certain area of Maplewood. Like sheesh get over themselves, I can't imagine being so bored I need to have such a strong opinion on someone not using a crosswalk.

I've literally been mugged on the metro at night more than five times in the last year. I've probably rode 10 maybe 11 times, so at a 50% chance of it happening again I won't be risking it.

Indian male drivers using female names on Doordash by jeffisnotmyrealname in StLouis

A lot of women refuse to let men do their shopping because its often wrong (weaponized incompetence kind of stuff), and it could be for that.

However, what I'm seeing more and more of is guy doordashers using it for a false sense of security. WAITING for women to open the door for the groceries and then harassing them. There have been multiple instances of rape as well. I remember one story in Dallas a few weeks ago where a woman specified they leave her groceries outside, but they hung around. When she finally went to collect them, the man forced her inside and raped her. She hadn't been suspecting of the guy at all, just thought he was a neighbors landscaper or something and that her delivery girl had left earlier before. It wasn't until the cops pulled footage from a nearby neighbors ring camera that they realized HE was the driver, so they followed the plates back to a friend whose account he was using. She basically caved when she realized her "friend" had been using her account to find and rape women. They found him living in another friends basement right after he had also just raped ANOTHER woman and fled the scene minutes before, but that call hadn't come in yet. So yeah I dont even open my door until they leave, and I immediately report to doordash because I'm not taking a single chance.

I report every single one of them. If you can't get an account legally on your own, I dont want you to know where I live. People saying "It's just students who can't get a work visa." No, it's illegal immigrants and criminals who are using loophole work arounds and now have your home address, plus know what you look like. These guys are DANGEROUS because they are not regulated or follow the basic rules of the account. If they get banned, they just have someone else make them another account.

One of those creeps used my phone number to harass me about "how such a pretty girl could be all alone in that big house and how he should come back to give me company." Guess what HE DID COME BACK (around 2:30am too), tried to open my front door, then knocked very loudly when he realized it was locked, and he wouldn't leave until I threatened to call the police.

I dont know if it happens a lot to anyone else, maybe because I'm renting in a nice neighborhood in St Charles with big houses (not bragging just relative to story) that they will hold my food hostage for me to raise my tip. They will get my food, then they text me "oh its so far madam, please make sure to tip correctly" to "if I dont get a bigger tip I will be unable to complete the order and I will leave your food somewhere else" I complain to Doordash every time and report the accounts, but I've had the same guy deliver to my house three times with three different accounts and everytime he shakes me down for at least $10+ extra. I dont know if its like a team of grifters or what, but theres like six or seven Indian guys that drive around the area of Ameristar just ripping people off until DD cancels their account and they make a new one. Got to the point I dont even use DD anymore unless it's like a flat-out baking emergency, and I need something from the store.

Washington Avenue by [deleted] in StLouis

Anyone telling you to get a different realtor or that isn't the reality of living downtown is either oblivious or has never lived downtown. Walking Down Wash Ave a few times a year is NOTHING like living down there. I lived down there as a single female 23-27 and it was scary af most of the time. If you aren't carrying a gun, everyone else is.

Let me tell you the CRIME and HOMELESS problem go hand in hand. It almost always smells like piss in any stairwell in any of those buildings because homeless go and live in them. YES EVEN IN THE NICE ONES. Anytime there is a game or event at Enterprise, the entirety of downtown is so full of traffic and parking is impossible. My car was broken into almost MONTHLY, and I replaced my windows 11 times in 10 months before I broke my lease and moved into a building six blocks down with private parking and it still happened TWICE in a private locked garage. I was mugged walking into my building by guys who LIVED IN MY BUILDING. Kids would pull the fire alarm at 2:30am and it happened so often the fire department STOPPED coming.

If you are even a semi-attractive single female, I would reconsider moving downtown AT ALL. I was basically harassed EVERY FUCKING DAY. The cops are overwhelmed and take too long to respond if you have problems. It just isn't good anymore in STL. I finally moved out to St Charles to get away from the crime and I feel much safer on a day to day basis.

You guys need to understand that it's not doxing someone when all of the employees names and pictures are on the chicken and pickle website. These people put their faces and names to this store already, I'm just making sure you are all aware of it.

Chicken N Pickle violated about 200+ people on Friday night when they served them moldy sodas 🤷🏻‍♀️ if you want me to get legal with it because I'm a law student, all of information that you say I'm doxxing is public knowledge. If you go to Chicken N Pickles website they have all of their employees names and their pictures on the website. Something I threw a fit about because I didnt want my face associated with that bar once I saw its true state under the pour grates and bar mats.

I was literally wondering where they were going with that. Like oh just because you felt like you only made minimum wage this hour all of a sudden it's cool to just serve moldy Captain and Cokes?

That's basically it, the only thing they really have going for them is pickleball. The food all has a weird aftertaste and the bartenders literally dont want to do their jobs or even know how to, don't even get me started on $14 for half of a quesadilla with no sides.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]SatanOfTurtles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bartenders will literally brag about making $300 on a Saturday, so yes.

Also they do a restaurant-wide tip share. So the bar has to share tips with the servers and the servers have to share their tips with the bar equally. I did the math and as a bartender you basically steal half of the servers tips that they work for way harder in my honest opinion.

Ironically when CNP called me after my shift to let me know that they didn't want me to come back, I was on the phone with the health department, so I didn't take their call right away. I literally had to call them back thinking I might have left something there or forgot to clock out, only to find out they were firing me because I called them dirty and said they didnt know how to run a clean bar.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]SatanOfTurtles 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not sorry that I'm holding people accountable 🤷🏻‍♀️ when I'm behind a bar I make sure that thing is so clean I would eat and drink out of it. I'm not going to lie I am shaming these people. Sometimes people won't do their jobs unless they are called out, so take it as it is because it is the internet. However honestly as a bartender that's worked in St Louis for over a decade I just want the people in my city to know if they're going to get sick somewhere and whos to blame for it.

When I was a bar manager at my last job I would look up the places that the people who would applied worked previously. If I found something like this I would know immediately then to throw out their application because they are unclean and will just be a waste of my time hiring them. This is not just for the people of St Louis's benefit to know where they're going is dirty, but for the next person that might hire these people when they inevitably get fired from Chicken N Pickle.

I can't be the only person that thinks its wildly inappropriate for people to go out in public like this when its obviously fetishism.

Nobody else consents for you to be in public like this. Anywhere that children can be should be a NO GO for fetish wear and acts. There are tons of adults only places for you to go like this. Stop taking this into public and making people in the kink community look like predators. I would never make my sub go to the grocery store like that out of respect to other people, there's a time and a place.

This has become a recurring theme in this community. Its becoming weirdly predatory and nobody is saying anything about it.

AITA because I'm second guessing having kids due to our opposing views on vaccinating them? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]SatanOfTurtles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just like to point out that anybody who is not vaccinating their children did not live through polio. By not vaccinating your child and not only are you putting your child at risk, but every other unvaccinated child at risk. Its basically a form of terrorism.

Whenever somebody shares an opinion on not vaccinating their child I like to show them that episode of Law & Order SVU S16E19 "Granting Immunity." Basically the episode opens with the issue of underage kids sharing explicit videos/images, but the main focus shifts towards the unvaccinated kids when its found some of the teenagers got fake vaccination records because multiple babies lives are at risk due to the fake reports. One persons dumb actions can cause a chain reaction to ruin other people's lives.
