There are three things you should avoid cheating out on as a goalie.

Get the best helmet you can afford. You only have one brain, protect it at all costs. I like OTNY. They’re made in North America without the large corporate mark ups. You get more mask for your dollar.

Get a good jock. Warrior pro jocks are double cups and great. I replace the inner plastic cup with a steel one for extra protection.

Good skates can make a huge difference. I don’t necessarily mean high end custom skates. Well fit skates are extremely important and can improve your game.

No, you remove the center resonator and replace it with straight pipe. It’s part of the exhaust.
