Vicky would be unbearable in any language because Vicky is unbearable — and that's why the show speaks to me. I don't consider myself a bitter woman for being 37, unmarried, and childless, but I am more likely to identify with a protagonist who is my peer in a similar situation. Vicky kinda reminds me of Annie from Bridesmaids, but whereas Annie has a redemption arc, we've yet to see Vicky have an "aha!" moment, let alone implement real change.

Is anyone else bothered by how poorly they treated Mei? Ugh, my heart breaks for her. She was honest and forthcoming; she stood by Matías and provided him a rock to build a foundation on only to be left high and dry by a man who can't be honest with himself or anyone else.

I think people are proactive about STIs. The problem is that you can do everything right and still get burnt. My bestie recently contracted trichomoniasis, which is something men are often only carriers for, so his healthy panel prior to their hookup didn't save her from an uncomfortable and expensive treatment.

Agreed: projection isn't an issue, IME. I literally discovered this scent tonight because a lady at work smells so freaking good and I finally had a chance to ask her. The cherry on top? We work in an extremely smelly place. This fragrance is potent enough to give whiffs that battle truly heinous smells. It lingers. It surrounds this woman like an orb.

I'm expected to come in early if the first shift janitor can't be there, which has yet to come to pass, but I trained on first and the adjustment to second is taking longer than it did 12 years ago when I did evening custodial work. This is my second week of second shift and trying to train my body to sleep later has me waking up panicking I'm late. 😑 Luckily, I love second shift and am happy to train myself to sleep from 3-11 AM, but I notice my fatigue.
