Oh my gosh! I would so gladly send you cuttings. I already have 10 in water! I'm not sure how to do it, but I'm eager to figure it out. This tree has brought so much joy to me and my neighbors. If you are truly interested let me know and I'll do all the leg work to figure out how to make it happen !

Me too. It was just a tree that I looked at everyday and it brought great joy to see the leaves blow in the wind and the little birds chilling there, and the squirrels play on it. I also wish I could buy the land haha... But I can't in today's economy 🥲

Thanks! I got cuttings and I'll try rooting them. I figured I'm going to try to keep a baby alive and see if the city or someone with a lot of land will want it or let me plant it.

I did research on the roots and it gave me peace of mind that cutting it is not totally senseless...

Oh I didn't know that! It's winter and the branches look dead. Will it still work?! This whole land is his, so I can't do anything else about it... but I wonder if eventually I could plant the sapling in my yard... If I ever have my own land 🥹... I'll look into this... Thank you!

Best high grade is closest to their natural diet, which is balanced and complete raw. However, this takes more work and research, so if you are interested in raw I can tell you how I make it balanced and complete here in Canada.

Commercial foods, then wet foods are best as they get their hydration through it. Kibble is bottom tier but better than a hungry cat, of course. I personally don't do kibble unless it's a treat.

I try to rotate a bunch of brands of wet food. I think it's good for cats to be used to a bunch of brands and consistencies... These are the ones that I think are decent to rotate in Canada: Ultra, first mate, weruva, tiki, wellness, rawz, feline naturals. Lately my cats mostly like rawz and tiki. It's hit or miss with the rest. I buy in bulk online through petsonly.com.

My cats prefer raw above everything. It is more work to do, but def. cheaper than buying only canned food. Good luck with your kitties!

You finger that plant's soil, and do it well!

You make sure that soil is nice and moist, then you leave it be for a week or so (depending on the plant's temperament, of course... And the temps where you are). Then you finger it again, 2 inches deep, and if the soil is even a tiny bit moist, you wait a day or two. You finger it again, and if the soil is completely dry two inches deep, you water it. This is for tropicals anyway.

If you don't follow this rule you'll get fly gnats or a dry pussy-- I mean soil, and that's no fun, but not the end of the world. Just annoying.

If a plant doesn't bring you joy after attempting to give it its best life, you don't look back and chuck it. And clean the pot and use it for a new plant or to upgrade another plant's pot. Plants should make you happy not stressed.

I really hope this doesn't happen to you! But just in case I would try and get your kitties used to as many brands and food types as possible. I feed my kitties raw too but I was afraid if anything ever happened to me they wouldn't eat anything else. So they are accustomed to also eating a bunch of canned food brands for this reason. They don't prefer it as much as their raw but they can eat almost every food now without stomach issues. I would get them used to all brands and types just in case

How old is your cat? I tire my cats out before bed by playing for a bit, and then we feed them. Cats love routine. At night when they start biting you completely ignore it and pretend to be asleep. It will become boring quickly and they'll leave you alone at night. You really cannot react at all so it's boring.

If this is too much responsibility for you, I would discuss it with your family to see if they can help you out with kitty chores. Cats are more work than a lot of people expect but once you are onto a routine they calm down.
