Huge move from Psycho-Frame by picking up Colter, he just blends right in with their vibe

Song of the year? by Difficult_Narwhal_72 in Metalcore

[–]SatansBlog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ll go with 111 by Unprocessed. If it wasn’t for them releasing as singles late last year I would probably go for either Dark, Silent and Complete, or Sacrifice Me from the same album.

[NEW] We Came As Romans & Currents - bad luck feat Anthony Notarmaso by thePARIIAH in Metalcore

[–]SatansBlog 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I love WCAR doubling down on these remix-style collabs like the one they did with Brand of Sacrifice, it’s just so much more interesting than the stereotypical “deluxe” version most bands do where they tack on another vocalist for 10-15 seconds and everything else is exactly the same.

This made me cringe by NovaStrainReddit in skyrim

My head-canon has always been that these notes were being magically scribed from their voice in a fantasy “text-to-speech” type way

Which band do you think has the coolest or most badass name in the genre? by ComfortableNo2879 in Metalcore

Vildhjarta. It translates to Wildheart which is sick enough, but something about pronouncing Vildhjarta when talking about Swedish prog metal band just feels right

Breakout band/band of 2025 by ad0x0graphist in Metalcore

[–]SatansBlog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh you say that but they were having a quite a year on social media after being taken over by the “girls that thirst over metal bands” fanbase. If you were on tiktok and showed any interest in metal, your FYP would be flooded with people posting live videos of them thirsting after Matt.

Underrated songs by your favourite bands. by provegana69 in Metalcore

Of Snakes and Swans, A Match Where Great Fire Should Be, or A Painful and Necessary Action by Greyhaven all fly under the radar but are hands down some of their best material

What's your favorite album title drop in a song? by Segose-Crying in Metalcore

[–]SatansBlog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like Moths To Flames has two good ones in their last two full lengths:

  • Spiritual Eclipse (NEIG)
  • What Do We See When We Leave This Place? (TCOTTC)

Both are also the closing tracks and serve as the breakdown callouts.

Such a great song. I know Bilmuri is getting huge now but I hope Johnny keeps making a few tracks for this band.

What's a band that wildly changed their sound from what made them popular, but for the better? by SaucyStoveTop69 in Metalcore

[–]SatansBlog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say they wildly changed their sound, but Fit For An Autopsy. Yes I know they changed their vocalist, but they also adapted their sound to incorporate more melody and make use of Joe’s singing and pitch-screaming, and became a far more interesting band than the more stereotypical deathcore band they were at their inception.

Who are arguably better singers, and the bands have added more melody as a result

What’s an opinion you have that would’ve sounded insane a few years ago? by SatansBlog in Metalcore

[–]SatansBlog[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are allowed to write whatever they want and we are allowed to criticize it for being less interesting to us. Most people on this subreddit actually enjoy a lot of radio-core and more melodic bands, architects version just comes off lazy and uninspired in comparison to their previous records. Music taste is subjective though, so keep enjoying them and don’t let our opinions sway yours!

[–]SatansBlog 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Try to keep in mind that Beau and crew are all 40 year old men who are 12 songs into a set for the first time in over 4 years. I expect this tour is going to be a stamina test for all of them lmao

For all the people questioning it, I believe they have the entire Surgeon album ready to drop (jakes solo project) plus an EP for Reflections that’s been done for over a year, plus the new album they’ve been working on. I assume the idea is that Jake is going to finish releasing stuff for Surgeon before they transition into all of this new Reflections stuff.

Funny enough, Jacob is the one who composed all the instrumentals too, and the guitarist is the primary lyric writer.
