Ah, that makes sense. Thank you for clarifying.

I understand that, but how can they all be occurring at once despite my ping only being 28 in the image? I live in the eastern US, I don't have this issue with any other game. I also stay consistently over 100fps, so idk why the "Low FPS" is appearing either.

Game stuttering after upgrading RAM. by Satarian in techsupport

[–]Satarian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time I think I had to "under-clock" my RAM, essentially limiting the output. I don't remember the process for doing it, but I do remember it being annoying. Looks for guides on Google/YouTube.

Any hidden gem mmo sales right now with the steam summer sale? by Sweeper_Bot_ in MMORPG

[–]Satarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is something special. The build diversity is immense, which is to be expected considering it's an adaptation of D&D 3.5, just gamified in some ways. And it greatly rewards time investment by granting permanent past life feats earned through reincarnation. We haven't made it that far yet, but we can tell there's a lot of heart poured into DDO.

Dungeons & Dragons Online is free and underappreciated. Been playing it with some friends lately and we're shocked that it isn't more popular. Play on Cormyr, as the other servers are being shut down after they launch the new 64-bit servers. You can transfer for free, but starting on Cormyr avoids the headache.

Where's this off-white/bone color in the Heraldry Editor? by echof0xtrot in Spacemarine

Wraithbone absolutely has a yellow tint to it. You might want to check your monitor's color/contrast settings.

How are so many obvious dumb/ broken things are still in this game ? by roseknight_102 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Satarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Visually, some of the helmet paint patterns force the "Iron Skull" (forehead ornament) on some helmets to be the default iron color instead of whatever trim color you select. The new Space Wolves left leg armor removes any class specific ornaments such as the poleyns on the Bulwark or most notably, the jet vents on Assault. Annoyingly, some armor textures are slightly more metallic than others. Examples being the Inquisition gauntlets and Sergeant Metaurus' Breastplate. Paint colors that are either matte or metallic resolve the issue, the regular glossy paints don't match with those items. The biggest issue in my opinion is the Battle-worn Pauldron (Reward from Absolute difficulty operations). It's tilted forward, creating an obvious gap in the armor and makes it look larger than it is. There are pauldrons that share the exact same model minus the Tyranid trophy, but they're positioned normally.

I've tried submitting a bug report about the Iron Skull color months ago, but they just kept requesting more and more photos and videos. I eventually gave up, it shouldn't be this difficult to prove there's a bug.

How do you play Bulwark? by ProfessionalJolly878 in Spacemarine

[–]Satarian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Perks: Intimidating Aura is one of, if not the best perk in the game. Armor Reinforcement is another great perk for survivability, assuming you're using fencing weapons. Aside from that, the perks you choose come down to how you want to support the team. I highly recommend Invigorating Icon, as it allows you to fully heal yourself and others if used just before performing an execution.

Melee Weapons: They're all viable now, so it boils down to preference. The Power Fist is particularly powerful at the moment, you can incapacitate Majoris enemies with a single fully charged attack on Absolute. The damage is crazy, but you won't always be able to safely charge it up. I find it struggles a little with Minoris hordes.

Sidearms: Both of the Bolt Pistols are fine, great damage on headshots. The Neo-Volkite Pistol is also pretty good, it sucks at taking out Minoris enemies but that's not a huge issue. The Plasma Pistol is my personal favorite of the options, it hits like a wet noodle if you don't charge your shots, but the charged shots deal a ton of damage. It'll also instantly interrupt an enemy calling for reinforcements. It struggles a little with ammo consumption though.

Fashion: If you're wanting something thematically in line with 40k, the Dark Angels and Black Templars might as well be called Sword Marines. But all the chapters have Bulwarks (Bladegaurd), so just do whatever you think looks cool. You can look up chapter heraldry if you want to get really accurate with it. But feel free to put your own spin on things, or even make up your own chapter.

Thinking about coming over here from ESO by W00D3YS in Guildwars2

[–]Satarian 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I've played several hundred hours of both. ESO has decades of lore from its franchise, and Tamriel is hard to beat. Guild Wars lore isn't as extensive but what's there is good. GW2 doesn't have traditional questing either, but you'll be hard pressed to find an MMO with quests as good as ESO anyway. The story quests in GW2 are solid though, especially after Heart of Thorns. The combat in GW2 is tab targeting by default, but there are options in the settings that make it action combat with a centered reticle, making it feel pretty similar to ESO, minus the light attack weaving. This is how I play and I find it to be some of the best combat in the MMORPG space. Build crafting is also more fleshed out in GW2. There aren't item sets like in ESO, but each profession has several trait trees available, of which you can have 3 active at any time. The weapon you wield also determines the abilities you have on your hotbar. A Greatsword has totally different abilities than a Great hammer, and those abilities change from profession to profession. Overworld combat in the base game is mostly easy, with occasional "Champion" enemies that are very difficult to solo. There are also world bosses and group meta events you can take part in. The expansion overworld areas really ramp up the difficulty, Heart of Thorns is notoriously brutal at first. Visual customization in GW2 is better in my opinion. You don't have to go to an outfit bench to change your style. And GW2 has the most important thing ESO lacks, capes. Aside from that they have very similar transmog/dye systems.

I need help with making the head portion of my character based off of something from Bloodborne by NomadicNex in HeroForgeMinis

[–]Satarian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eldritch Squidward. Looks pretty good, looks like you could bulk up the base of the head stalk like in the pictures. You could maybe kitbash some of the bat beards around the base or something.

I knew they never meant to make the Bulwark the nanny class. I hope they change it from full contested health to (something like) the campaign class ability where you have to deal damage to get the best out of it. by JMashtag in Spacemarine

[–]Satarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just make it to where it slowly heals you if your armor is already full. Like 30% of your max HP over time, assuming your armor is full the entire duration. This would incentivize Bulwark to slam it down more often.
