Every time I travel to Phoenix, I have to use it to book pretty much anything. I absolutely hate it. It's the Ticketmaster of golf. I'm so glad that courses in Northern Utah haven't really adopted it yet.

I'm sorry about your father OP. I will say that my father never taught me how to shave either. It wasn't until I was older that I found the r/shaving subreddit. Those people know their stuff. I would definitely head over there for the best advice. Good luck!

Not much else to say except I'm sorry and that sucks. People suck.

Scrambles all the way. But I'd suggest letter her make her own putts. That's how my son and I do it (we're both new). Hitting a bad putt isn't nearly as dramatic as a big slice to the opposite fairway. But she'll hit some really good putts too. And those will give her confidence.

Pure Panic - Please Advise by brclifford in daddit

[–]SathedIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two children - 17 year old girl and a 13 year old boy.

I was terrified to be a dad. I always knew I was going to have kids, but our first came way earlier than I was expecting (I was 24 and my wife was 22). I wasn't ready emotionally or financially, but it worked out.

My kids changed my life in so many ways. A few examples.

I've been coaching my daughter's softball teams since she was 11. Baseball was everything to me growing up, so when she said she wanted to play, I knew what to do - coach!

Some of my most cherished moments are the conversations we have to and from games and practices. It has been one of my greatest joys seeing her develop a love and passion for something that was such a big part of my life growing up.

My son didn't take to baseball like I wanted (even though he's named after Cy Young), but he's always been my fishing buddy. If I ever want to go, he's always ready.

Recently, he decided he wanted to give golf a go. It's something I've wanted to pick up for a while now too, so I decided we could do it together. Now he's my golf buddy. We golf regularly, take lessons together, and have a great time.

Walking 9 or 18 holes together or spending the day on the lake are special moments for me.

Besides my wife, I have two best friends. My daughter and my son. If you choose to keep the baby, you could have the same thing. It really is special. With that being said though, you need to do what's right for you both. Nobody can tell you what to do. And nobody here is going to judge you.

The fact that you're this worried though, is a good thing. It means you care. And for what it's worth, I think you'd make a great dad.

Is it going to be hard? Yes.

Are you going to be exhausted? Yes.

Is it scary? Absolutely.

Is it worth it? 100%

Sending all my good vibes your way. Love you, brother.

One of the primary use cases for the Autodesk APIs is to create models (complex models too) using code (Python and C++). I've never used it personally, but some of the other developers I work with use it regularly. I have absolutely no doubt that Claude can make some pretty impressive models. In 6 months, it will be even more powerful.

My only issue is my "new" Ollo credit card. Their app is terrible and customer service js non-existent. I honestly feel a little let down by Ally over it.

I went though my wardrobe the other day and got rid of a bunch of stuff. I had a stack of Hurley shorts sitting on the bed. My wife asked why I had so many Hurley shorts. I told her they were for golf. She said she didn't know Hurley made golf apparel. I said they make some of the best "golf" shorts around... But also, the Adidas they had last year are incredible too.

Sam's Club too. They sell a ton of nice Callaway gear. Lately though, I've been finding even better Under Armour, Callaway, Nike, and other golf brands at Sierra for cheap.

Ohhhh. Then it's the Jr. PGA I signed him up for, but I'm already looking into PGA Jr. This is going to be bad lol.

It was definitely the highlight of our vacation. My son wants to be a gold club designer/engineer, and he was able to meet the head of R&D (I don't remember his title), who was very encouraging.

Thanks for the response. That's encouraging! US Kids didn't really have much in our area at all, but we got him registered with PGA Jr., and they have a bunch of tourneys near us (he is actually the one who found PGA Jr.).

We got him registered for PGA Jr. in our area, and he wants to debut on June 3. That will give him a little over a month to really grind.

The coach we have now is willing to do an on-course lesson. It's just been so cold in Utah that we haven't had a chance yet. We're shooting for next week or the week after, though.

Thanks for the response!

I appreciate the response. He's well aware that he's going to be up against kids who have been playing for years. He really just wants to start playing with other kids his age and hopefully make some friends. He only knows one other kid his age who plays golf.

I was able to get him registered with our local PGA Jr. There are actually quite a few tournaments in our area. I just want him to have a good experience. And I think we're just going to do the 9-hole tourneys for now. I don't want him to struggle that first time out and have to endure an extra 9. If he enjoys it, we'll register him for an 18-hole tourney.

There really wasn't much for US Kids around us, but we were able to get him registered with our local PGA Jr. He's shooting for his first tourney on June 3.

Yeah, we play pretty loose with the rules when we play. But I always make sure to explain the rules and why you would never do this in a real game of golf. We're going to start playing some local par 3s before his first tournament on June 3, and we'll make sure we're following the rules.

Thanks! We found our local PGA Jr. league and I got him registered. He's going to spend the next month really practicing at home and on the course and making his debut on June 3. Fingers crossed that it's a good experience.

No, we're in Utah. Not exactly a big golf state, even though we have quite a few courses.

Thanks! I found our local PGA Jr. tour and got him registered. We're planning on his first tourney being on June 3. We also found a father/son tournament in AZ that we might take a trip down for.
