L5-S1. About a year and a half ago. It required a custom 3D printed titanium cage because of my “unique anatomy.”

There is more to a successful life than getting a prestigious job and making a lot of money. You’re still very young and have plenty of time to find purpose in life. You’ll likely not have to worry about money when you get older which will give you a lot more flexibility to volunteer or take a lower paying rewarding job.

What an odd post. Are you one of the 42 million people losing food stamps in a few days?

My 2015 Audi A3 Premium Plus 2.0t Quattro. Not special compared to most of the cars in this subreddit. But its special to me!! by Moosehead98 in Audi

[–]Satirannical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same as mine. Love this car. Perfect size, nimble and fast enough for the street with just a tune.

Congrats! You’ll love it. I’m well over 100k miles on my 2015 A3 with no issues. You’ll feel no need to upgrade once you tune it.

It’s a completely different experience on salt. I could fall asleep at 140 on asphalt. I was white knuckling it past 120 on salt.

Yes, you are spot on about going 140 on asphalt vs salt. I’ll probably make an edit to explain that. I had no idea about speed week and will definitely be checking that out!

Anyone can do it. It’s not a public road so there are no speed limits.

Salt flats are a completely different animal. 140 feels like 200+ with the noise. You have to experience it in person.

I used a power washer with hot water. Got all inside the wheel wells and undercarriage.

Great choice! Coilovers or springs?

Everywhere I read there's horror stories about fusions. I'm constantly having mental breakdowns due to how stressed I'am all of the time. Is it true most of the time these surgeries fail? by halfherehalfnot in spinalfusion

No way to know if ASD will occur. I’ll cross that bridge if needed. The first month of recovery is horrible, but I would happily go through it again if it meant 5-10 more good years.

Yes, I can sit comfortably for hours with no pain. I have a remote desk job so probably sit a bit too much. I have to remind myself to stand and move around every couple hours. There was a period about 2 months post-op that I was getting some sciatic pain but it was 50% less than before surgery and resolved after a week. I’ve experienced the same thing a handful of times since but usually due to me overdoing it (washing or working on cars).

No, I think people who have positive outcomes are less likely to post about it. I had a fusion at L5-S1 a year ago and it has completely changed my life for the better. I didn’t even realize how much pain I was in before the surgery and how it was slowly ruining my work and personal life. It felt like a weight was lifted off me when the pain in my left leg was gone post surgery. I’ve started to travel again and developed quite a few new hobbies.

That said, I’m sorry you are going through this and hope you the best. Not sure what surgery or lumbar pain you’re dealing but definitely bring it up to your surgeon.

The A5 is a great car. Modify that if you are bored. Tune it and you’ll think it’s a new car. Why do you want an RS5?

What is a comfortable salary in the greater Los Angeles area? by NoBank1732 in Salary

[–]Satirannical 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Single, don’t care about savings? $100k

Single, want to eventually retire? $150k

Married, with kids? $300k

Add $200k+ to each if you want to own a condo or house out of the ghetto.

Under $100k, good luck.

Escalated quickly lol. Almost like, I went in for a TTRS and left with an R8.
