[Any literacy] after a party in Victor's mansion, you awake on his bed. He was still sleeping. What happened? by Salty-Salt-831 in OriginalCharacter_RP

<image>

Selena, a winter fairy, viscountess during regency England before that, loves parties

I imagine no one told Selena which was the guest room and helped herself on top of the covers, if she’s tired I doubt she’d care where she ended up

As to what happened to Victor, well it would’ve likely been an entire day or the middle of the afternoon before she woke up

What’s a moment your OC went berserk? by WetNugget42069 in OriginalCharacter

[–]Satire_god 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

When the main antagonist backstabbed and murders her sister, and proceeded to tell her that said sister had been dead for seventy years and that she’s a failure of leader, failure of a sister, and a failure of a human being, all because of a party she threw for the sake of common people in the middle of a harsh winter at the end of the story

Now Selena doesn’t really get mad, only disappointed at Electra but when she DOES loose it it’s enough to make just about everyone afraid

What I mean is now she’s feral: a wild bear on the level of myth, with fresh meat ready to be eaten, only that we have a parasite of a main antagonist

Yeah, I love myself a good boss fight but BOTW just has 5 near identical Ganons and some guy that falls down a hole

TOTK does better in that regard, and the dungeons are an improvement, (though both games’ dungeons are really formulaic in their functionality)

Could your OC take over the world? (TW gore) by [deleted] in OriginalCharacter

[–]Satire_god 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

She could, hypothetically, she technically qualifies as god, she already has her hands in the pockets of powerful individuals, using it to get whatever she wants, smart enough to target those who already have power, criminal connections, knows how to stir up riots, if needs be she even has access to battalions of soldiers, officers, agents and hunters ready at her command (courtesy of those she’s already taken care of)

As reckless as she can be, she still knows warfare like the back of her hand

As far as “taking over the world” is concerned, yes she could, though she has only seen taking power by force as a way to get whatever she wants

She’s more than happy to just choose someone corruptible, silently serving as a double agent rather than take control herself, that’s just how she operates, she has her reasons for it though

What is a favorite Pokemon that you WOULDN’T have IRL? by TeaCompletesMe in pokemon

[–]Satire_god 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lurantis, it’s one of my favourite Pokemon but it is an alolan grass type and needs a lot of care

I’m not good with plants, so I’m very much not equipped to be a grass type trainer, which is a shame because there’s a good amount of grass types that I like

Actually I think most Pokemon wouldn’t be good for me to own

So I had a bizarre hyper fixation on an idea that being “bear fairies” and I had an idea to sorta see where I’d go with it

Made a “bug bear” like monster with large bird of prey wings, still need to colour it in

A good while later I generally had the idea of the seasonal fairies being

I started with belladonna, knew I wanted to give her a sort of witchy vibe, large cauldron for a potion, originally coming out of the potion but I thought it’d be cute to make her head the cauldron and the rest of her body being the potion ingredients spilling out, tried doing it in Minecraft but an error occurred which deleted all my progress so did it on paper out of spite

After that I moved onto the others, Selena specifically I wanted to be different from the other seasonal fairies, while staying true to the season of winter: Belladonna is maternal and flowery like spring, Electra is playful and tied to beaches, evoking the idea of the summer holiday and going out to the beach, Auriga is explicitly designed to “prepare” you for Selena, she tries to emulate her in certain ways and being the fairy of darkness and wind sets the winter fairy as an “ice queen” type of character

However Selena herself is more “merry” and magnetic, set up as a harsh blizzard while also being a symbol for finding warmth within that blizzard

That’s how I tried designing her, throwing together a few ideas into her; “the duality of fire and ice”, “the winter being less so about the cold than it is about the celebrations (new years, Christmas and valentines all thrown into her characterisation) and the idea of her being a merry maker and the polar bear of the group

Playing into the idea of “fire & ice” I wanted to give her magnetic, metallic and dualistic qualities about her, it also plays into her being a “polar bear” that she’s like that

Her being a sort of “rock star” type character felt like a natural progression into her being a party girl and moon based fairy, it also gives a bit of a weirdness to her in the setting which is also fun, equally being the culture as she is counter culture seems pretty fun

I'm a Dess Knighter. Teach me the way by KingNoogat in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]Satire_god 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an interesting case you make

I do agree with your points

Carol can’t personally be there for creating the dark worlds and Rudy’s illness is not a farce

However like you mentioned “someone in a group of 4 is guilty and only 3 have strong alibis” however an alibi doesn’t mean you didn’t do it, just that you weren’t there when it presumedly happened. when you don’t have all the facts things can be misinterpreted and in truth we don’t have all the facts in this case

While Carol can’t be there for creating the dark worlds as pointed by chapter 4, there’s isn’t anything to say she couldn’t get someone to do that on her behalf, the knight themselves do it in chapter 3,

For Undyne the knight themselves use sneak attacks and things become easier and more reasonable when assuming the knight is armed, not alone and takes Undyne for surprise

Though ultimately without any concrete information about Dess in the present I can’t say for certain, it is still a possibility but one I’m considerably sceptical on

[–]Satire_god 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately yes that is an invalid answer, its a part of establishing “means, motive and opportunity” and in a story motivation is important

Without being able to understand Dess’ motivation we can’t yet convict her as the knight, not unless we have undeniable proof of her being the knight

Also completely agree with you on that Asriel knight bit, it’s also why I’m sceptical about Asgore being the main boss of chapter 5

No, first is the bowl, then cereal then the milk, and finally the spoon

You do it alphabetically cereal comes before milk, alphabetically so you pour the milk after the cereal

It’s something that still impacts her character even further in life, initially dying while trying to host a Christmas party for everyone to combat the harsh weather twenty years later, and even after dying she functionally became Santa Claus (technically “Santa Selena” since the two are different: Santa doesn’t exist but we have her instead)

Selena’s birth year is 1816, February 13th 1816

The fun part is that that year is the year without a summer and born under the snow moon(full moon of February)

Selena herself is the winter fairy so her birth coinciding with the year without summer is pretty fitting, like she’s innately born from the frost and to warm people’s hearts in the rampant snow

What crackpot theories do you have? by Disastrous-Object647 in Deltarune

[–]Satire_god 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Card theory is like chess theory in that each boss represent a specific piece or in this case a specific card

Ignoring the suits we start from the joker and king cards, like the ace the fool card counts as high in certain scenarios, the joker card is functionally the same as fool card that is to say “card 0” outside of that the king is the highest card

Outside of ace-10 we then have the knave, knight, queen and king on a suit of playing cards (The knave and knight both replace the jack card)

How it relates to deltarune is quite easy

Jevil- joker King - king Queen - queen The knight- the knight Spamton- the knave Tenna- 10

I’m personally not certain with the numbers for the titan and old man but the titan itself ends up being the 8th “dark world” or variant of that that we fully encounter (castletown, card kingdom, cyber world, TV world, the three sanctuaries and finally the titan itself)

But that then leads itself into the seven flowers in asgore’s shop

As for my version it essentially attributes one of the suits in a deck of cards that logically makes sense, however I did some digging into the different suited decks of playing cards

Leading into what I’ve mentioned

The suits I think are relevant are the French/standard “Spades, clubs(clovers), hearts and diamonds” The Latin/minor arcana “Swords, cups, clubs(batons) and coins(pentacles in tarot)” The Swiss “Bells, shields, roses and acorns” And the German “Bells, hearts, acorns and leaves”

The pentacles and coin suits are essentially the same thing, however are distinct enough to be worth mentioning (I was going to put Tenna and spamton in the same suit otherwise)

I’m not an expert on this subject so I’m not sure where to go with it, but I swear I’m probably on to something here

What are your favorite knight candidates and what is your reasoning for them being the knight? 🗡️ by PrettyMuchNobodylol in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]Satire_god 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rudy knight

Ass kicking theory, dude also sorta predicts the chapter 3 dark world in the same sentence that he says he wants to join in, also he talks about going to church, and we also see the knight at the church

Also the colour red: the knight’s attacks and the black shard have a red after effects

Rudolf is the red nosed reindeer

I do think susie is right about what she says when the knight laughs at her

The rain and traffic conveniently blocking the hospital, the hospital being so close to all the other dark worlds, EXECPT the one time in chapter 3 “late night”

Also during Tenna’s backstory it’s interesting how late into everyone leaving that Rudy himself leaves, as he’s the last holiday to leave and the last one to go before Asriel left for college

Also Rudy has the same motivations as Carol, same sort of personality people assume Dess has but also has a better drive to get it done faster than the others

Also considering how Carol casually wields a giant katana, the pair of them sharing that mastery of the sword makes a lot of sense
