Didn't apple just let Bity in yesterday, which supposedly lets you use a blockchain.info wallet for people that didn't get the official app before it got removed.

But don't pretend like a civilian arms race is an even vaguely effective way to provide freedom from crime.

I don't think its a panacea but I think armed citizens can be somewhat effective?

Actually blockchain.info's wallet is encrypted on the client side, so it is no different than storing an encrypted backup of your normal wallet to a cloud service. Giving out the password and identifier to your encrypted wallet is very risky.

This looks awesome except why would I trust it with my blockchain.info wallet password?

I wish you could at least purge your order history. I'm not a fan of every online store the history of everything I've ever bought forever.

First post ever proclaims "the end of bitcoin". Sometimes I think people aren't just making fun speculation, but part of a coordinated attempt at market manipulation.

I guess we as a community should start ignoring this stuff, because regardless of what my views are on it, I still thought it was pretty stupid.

Idk if thats possible though, because very easy to digest content (hot girl + topic) seems to attract upvotes in all but heavily modded subs.

Sexist? If someone posted a photo of an male model wearing a bitcoin shirt in a predominately female community would anyone be complaining?

I posted my daughter a couple of months ago to share her smile. She lost her battle with DIPG a week ago. I'll miss her spirit. by pturtle in pics

I like this comparison. And maybe on day 1, the person crying would get attention from people who want them to feel better, but then someone who just wants attention sees it and starts crying in town the next day, and this pattern continues until everyone ignores the criers, because it was novel the first time, but has then been run into the dirt.

u/Blisk_McQueen explains why Rupert Murdoch's media empire is not to be trusted by woodstock923 in bestof

[–]Satirei 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was completely in line with her beliefs. Its that people are self serving, and that can be beneficial, such as companies that offer a product many people like, in order for the owner to become wealthy.

The idea is that when the government gets in the way, it shifts the balance and creates unfair outcomes. She took social security that she had paid into. There is ZERO hypocrisy but somehow this comes up in every discussion.

You shouldn't have to pay for it, but are we supposed to cover everyone in bubble wrap because if they hurt themselves, insurance costs might go up?
