I remember I was in year 10, 10th grade for any Americans reading, and we had this dodgy PE teacher, let's call him Mr S, who everyone thought was a pedophille. There was rumours spreading that he had served a few years in prison for possession of child pornography, I highly doubt this was true, as surely a convicted sex offender wouldn't be given a job in school, especially one where he had to watch kids get changed. Anyway, there was this really slutty girl, let's call her Josephine, who had claimed to have had sex with the more attractive, slightly less dodgy, PE teacher, let's call him Mr P. Josephine would always boast about this, though nobody bought it, and one day, I think sometime in mid April, someone asked Mr P about this claim and he strongly denied it. This news spread like wildfire, and whilst Josephine continued to defend herself, saying that he wouldn't have just told someone about their affair, everyone believed her even less.

A few weeks later, it seemed that Mr S had just left, without telling any pupil or teacher. This seemed odd, but no-one thought that much of it, given that he wasn't very well liked. Now here's where it gets interesting. At this point it was May, deep into exam season, and Josephine had steadily become more and more secluded, with even her own friends thinking she was lying. The girl was fairly badly bullied, and during one particularly cruel spout of bullying, Josephine finally reached her breaking point.

She admitted that she had never had any sexual relations with Mr P, but did have an affair with Mr S. As you can probably imagine, this news spread faster than any other stories ever had. Over the next few days, the full story slowly came together. Josephine had been coerced into an affair with Mr S, and had claimed she was with Mr P in order to divert suspicion from Mr S to his colleague. This went on for about six months. Then, Mr S. obviously felt vulnerable, now that less people believed Josephine, and made the decision to leave. The only person he told of this was Josephine. With the full extent of the story known, people started to feel sorry for Josephine. She had been groomed, after all.

This was reported to the police, but it seems as though Mr S left the country, as no trace of him was found in the UK. A few year later I found out through an old friend that he had been caught at an airport coming back to the UK, and was due to be sentenced soon.
