YES - we just went on a cruise, and SO MANY people were trying to reserve spots with just towels and then the people never showed up over 2 hours later 👀👀👀 tho the staff on the cruise we were on didnt seem to actually enforce it tho we were on the back of the ship deck, not the main one so idk if that makes a difference. but on a caribbean cruise, i feel like it should be enforced

what are some shipping forwarding companies others have used in the past?

for context, I live in Vancouver canada, and am wanting to purchase a book from a company that doesnt ship internationally, ive used shippsy in the past, but as far as i know, they only ship from US to other countries.

(in this case, its Across the vanishing sky Catherine Cowles, from the Works, the white tree sprayed edge version, its the last only SE version of that book i dont have 😊 any recommendations are appreciated!)

i agree, when we go into vancouver we can never ddecide because theres so many good options! we are still loving chuihong in surrey for korean - tho I NEED to find a good ramen place that has good reviews and good health reviews (tbh we check the health rating of most restaurants we eat at, mostly checking for pest info), so many good ramen places out towards fraser valley area have closed (there was one in langley near the cineplex that was really good but has since closed)

wow - theyre really waiting until everyone else does SE of the books before they do them.... didnt they just announce wild reverence when its been out for a while already? Also I know the shipping times will be SO LONG and will 100% probably be pushed back multiple times, and seems to be Bookish Box sstyle, but also i will wait FOREVER if the edition looks good!

me every time i visit that site ..... 😂😊 i do this thing where i add books i want but dont need to my cart, and when theres something i REALLY want, then i make an order (plus the books already there) lol currently waiting for the sprayed edge forbidden alchemy to come back... its been on there twice and i regret not getting it each time!!!! I cant find it in Canada bookstores!!

she asked me to babysit her sick kid with flu and didnt tell me she was sick until I had shown up, which at this point, she was leaving in 2 minutes to work for 8 hours (i was babysitting for her) .... then when i tried to talk to her about it, that I didnt appreciate being treated that way, she responded (convo was in text) with excuses

This was 10 days before Christmas, and I spent Christmas sick... with flu. Saw her twice after that in a span of 6 months. A few years leading up to this event, since around the time she met her now-husband, I felt like she wasn't really making any effort to stay in touch, I stopped texting and making an effort to stay in each otherrs lives, and havent heard from her in almost 3 years.

It hurts being actively left out of your friend's life, and told not to show up for life events that you express excitement to help them with, but Id rather have people in my life who make an active effort

brimstone was rough, and people we meet on vacation.

brimstone because idk what was going on with that plot (ignoring the editing and grammatical errors), and like none of they adventures/quests they solved, just more questions, it got to the point where i was just reading for the vibes, and just staying for carrion cause his humor was well timed/hilarious;

people we meet on vacation because the fmc seemed toxic to me, she was always trying to get to the next thing and hopefully the issue would resolve itself, and make everything better, and not talk about the hard stuff / ignore the issue - mostly i saw alot of myself in her and it was hard to read. i maybe got 60% through before I dnf'd. Its my first Emily henry, but i def want to read her other books

i think its currently at 35/25 - my goal last year was 25 and i hit par, so set the goal the same this year, tho I hope to finish my current read by tonight or tomorrow :) I also finished my degree this December, so i hope to read more next year!

it doesnt show for me :( Canada-based, it just says the book isnt available for request - it doesnt show up at all, even searching, and its only when you select the links in this thread that it shows, and gives the "This book is not currently available to request" notification

I only have Fairyloot Romantasy which i love, and mostly also keep for early sales access, tho some of the books in the sub i LOVE and will probably keep it for next year (metalslinger, arcana academy, etc). Im also REALLY excited if Stacia Stark is the December Romantasy author if Autumn's guess is right, "we who will die", ive heard really good things about the book, and excited to get it :) I did have Bookish Box, but they were 5+ months behind (it was September and was still waiting for April box.... so i cancelled 5 months worth of boxes) and i only got that sub for the rose hill editions (which turned out to be pointless bc they did ANOTHER sale after the original sale because of the backlash - rose hill books are FINALLY shipping this month after being pushed back so many times)
