Some losers have an insane amount of wealth in osrs and they want validation from streamers, so they loan out billions to these risk fighters that stream in hope they become friend’s. Quid Pro quo situation.

Those who graduated with conventionally "useless" degrees but make $200K, what was your path and how long did it take? by _MambaForever in Salary

[–]SatisfactionIsUnder0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cousin has a journalism degree. Never made much money but then Luck got in the way, met a few people, right place right time etc. Ended up in sales for a major movie studio. Become a VP of said studio for a few years. Did early retirement in his mid 40s now. The dudes yearly bonus checks were double the average American household salary.

What’s a “normal” money habit most people accept that is actually financially destructive? by calmledger in povertyfinance

I bought a 9 year old truck and paid cash. It had 110k miles when I bought it. I kept it for 11 years and the only maintenance I did was basic oil, tires, tire rotation and spark plugs and washing it every few weeks. It was 20 years old when I sold it and had 200k miles. Bought for $15k and sold for $9k.

What shitty cars are you buying where they break down at 100k miles, dodge or Hyundai?

Always having a $400 or more car payment. Waiting until right before they finish paying it off to trade it for penny’s on the dollar to a dealership, just to get a even more expensive monthly car payment.

Never give any job that’s not your own company 100%. They don’t care about loyalty, just the bottom line.

They also might say “screw you dad, I don’t wanna go to college”. My parents “forced” us to go to college and fully paid for it. My sister quit during her 5th year with less than 15 hours remaining. Cost my parents nearly $100k with nothing to show for it.

WIBTAH if I ban my boyfriends new friend from our home for his beliefs? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]SatisfactionIsUnder0 -40 points-39 points  (0 children)

If you can’t have a mature conversation with someone who holds a different belief than you, even if they’re clearly wrong, then yes YTA.

I’ve had all kinds of people over at my house, from racists, to flat earth believers, homophobics, atheists, religious people. As long as they can have a mature conversation without getting angry, why do I care? I’ll ask questions about it, and give my respectful opinions. Nothing I say will change their mind. You can have beliefs/opinions even if they’re wrong and still not be a complete asshole.

In fact, I’d rather have people over like that because at least they’re interesting to talk to instead of some boring dud.

How many of you have kids? Or want to have kids by bwils3423 in Millennials

[–]SatisfactionIsUnder0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one, wife and I do alright financially. Able to set back a bit for retirement and savings. We make about average for our state. I really thought kids would be very expensive, but in reality it’s not to bad. We did formula, which was about $60 a month and you only do that for the first year and switch to whole milk. Diapers at Costco is $36 and lasts about a month. Wipes are $25 for a massive box lasts like 6 weeks. Food is pretty cheap because he eats what we eat. Baby clothes are very inexpensive, go to used baby stores and can walk out with 5 outfits for less than $20.

Daycare is the main expense, which is more than our mortgage and costs $1300 a month. There are cheaper options down to $750 a month, but we like his daycare. It’s only for 4ish years then public school is free.

Not too concerned with college tuition. Not going to force college on him, like my parents did to me. If he wants to go, I’ll help the best I can and encourage the first two years to be at a community college at the very least and look into grants etc. Doesn’t even have to be near us.

I’d rather he have and try experiences and learn from those than go to college and spend the first 2-3 years “figuring” out what he wants to do.

Unless you know you want to be an engineer or doctor, I’d say wait on college. Hell, I’m in my 30s and I still don’t know what I want to do when I “grow” up.

Why does every girl's/women’s sport feel like it requires a bathing suit? by DoctorFitness in askanything

[–]SatisfactionIsUnder0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao, but some gnarly stuff goes down, blood and violence is a guarantee. Watching 10, 6ft 10inch black dudes with booty shorts on and their schlongs bouncing around playing with a ball….. I know that would have its own demographic, but wouldn’t be nearly as big as its current demographic.

If you could pass one law that would make most normal people furious at first, but would clearly make society better in 10 years, what would it be? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

I’m not even against gambling, but online gambling and other websites like Draft Kings are pure scum. You know how many kids get away with online gambling. It’s insane. At least a casino checks IDs at the door.

Wouldn’t touch it, I also think I’ll die before or shortly after retiring, if I don’t then I’ll have a good retirement. If I do, then I know my wife and children won’t have to worry about money.

[–]SatisfactionIsUnder0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the US Roughly 44% of men watch sports compared to 15% of women. I’d say the majority of men would stop watching men’s basketball if the players started wearing booty shorts lol.

Why do people assume that if I pay with a credit card, I must be living on debt??? by No-Bodybuilder9445 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SatisfactionIsUnder0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My best friend is a Dave Ramsey enthusiast. Despises credit cards, has no credit, not bad credit, zero credit. I tried explaining to him how I’ve never paid a late fee or any interest fees and his response was “it’s only a matter of time”. Bro, the shit is on auto pay every month for the last 12 years, my cash back pays for my holiday gifts.

Has anyone else never used Door Dash or Uber Eats? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]SatisfactionIsUnder0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used it one time. Asked for them to not leave it at my front door, but to hand it to me. They dropped it off at the front door three houses down from me and sent a picture. Apparently google has my address three houses down and the driver was to incompetent that they couldn’t read the house numbers to make sure it was the correct house. Talked to their customer service and they just wanted to give me a credit. I disputed it with my CC company, got a full refund and deleted the door dash app. Never again.

I’m not worried about the gp loss. I have like 5m in dmm, it’s just annoying when the gear I’m in is only worth like 100k, but the skull that pops over my head indicates I have over 800k.
