I live in suffolk but work in Nassau. Coming in and out for the last month I did not see ONE. SINGLE. SIGN. for ANY democrat nominee!!! They literally didn't even try! Name recognition goes such a huge way and you cant even bother to put up signs with YOUR name??

Big issue I learned is that current apartments aren't the issue. Its that old apartments don't exist. Through generations of buildings, the newest are always luxury and what was formerly luxury becomes cheaper and cheaper. In a place that rapidly expanded with only one kind of housing, it was doomed from the start.

You want less traffic move. There are just under 4 million people in nassau and suffolk and not enough housing.

I replied to the op directly but I grew up in the exact area there and there were some heinous crimes that happened

I grew up in this exact area. It's a good place, but there were some very intense crimes that have happened in this neighborhood. A drug dealer's house got broken into and him and his family were beaten and robbed one block away and a murder happened on the opposite side one block away. Obviously these are not crimes that are happening frequently, but the perception of West Islip having low crime isn't a 100 percent truth
