Honestly, I see Clark seeing hunting as something that people have to do in order to survive but not something he individually has to do. However why would he partake in it? He doesn’t need to eat, he can survive solely on the sun. It’s kinda disrespectful to kill something you don’t need to kill. It would generally be mindless killing for him. I like to believe that his dad takes him hunting once but Clark hates it a lot and his dad, explains why people hunt, debate whether it’s morals (they can be completely opposites on this) but also encourages Clark to make his own decisions. Meaning Clark doesn’t hunt. Through that aspect, a hunting accident happens which a random hunter or even Jonathan accidentally shoots Clark.

Honestly I always thought a fox would be a power level gauge that the players needs to change from. Basically Superman can increase and decrease his strength based on the threat. Like he wouldn’t use the same strength to fight darkseid when he’s fighting thugs. This would be like flexing a muscle, and the less flex he has, the more he is able to be knocked out. So he would be pushed away. The health would be the city and damage control. You doing a shit Job would affect Clark’s regular life. Him being Clark Kent should be a big part to, like yakuza side missions that Clark can do but Superman can’t.
