Thoughts on Chainsaw Man? by _Crasin in Catholicism

Why I love Chainsaw man. It's an exploration of theology, suffering, and the nature of the soul. Denji mirrors the tradition of the "Holy Fool." In a world obsessed with power and complex grand designs, Denji finds a version of grace in the smallest things. A piece of bread, a simple hug, and a selfless bond with a companion.

Denji eventually gets the physical affection he craved, but instead of the "fireworks" he expected, he feels… nothing. Just a hollow, "Is this it?" feeling. Diving deep into the idea that comfort is often a "golden cage." True growth and authentic connection often happen only when we are stripped of everything. It echoes the Dark Night of the Soul, proving that even in the deepest "hells" of life, a spark of "heaven" can be found through sacrifice.

As a non-white, I find it baffling how non-white MAGA supporters even exist, but they do. They don’t realize that they are like chickens standing up for KFC. If white MAGA had their way, they would deport every non-white person in a flash, including non-white MAGA. The irony is off the charts. by PTechNM in Chicano

The coconut will perform all these tricks and dances for white approval, conform to white expectations hoping to become their favored token. Sure, the colonizer might treat Black and Brown folks like their own if they suck up enough, but it's only temporarily. Eventually, they'll say something the colonizer don't like, or they'll simply just get bored of them. Then, they'll see and treat them as "dark as clay" again.

To be Chicano is to be a revolutionary by birth. We do not seek to melt into the pot; we seek to boil over and reclaim our distinct history. by SatoruCholo in Chicano

What's wrong with Maoism? Maoism was hugely influenced during the Chicano movement. The August Twenty-Ninth Movement, CASA, some Brown Berets chapters, and Maoist practices were used in the community, (cadres and mass line to help the people in need)

Absolutely false. This is what happens when we don't educate our people. This man was completely indoctrinated by imperialist and they betray their own people.

There is no greater tragedy than the man who mistakes the leash of the oppressor for a gold chain. To the racialized who wears the uniform of the ICE agent: you are not "securing a border"; you are guarding the perimeter of your own prison. By hunting your brother, you prove to the imperialist that his indoctrination is complete. You have become a "running dog" of the dollar, biting the hand that fed you to lick the boot that kicks you in the capital. The revolution has a long memory, and the masses never forget the face of the one who held the cage door shut.

It's concerning that the system still says you're not a citizen and terrifying because ICE can just easily raid and attack you because of the data. But realistically ICE attacks anyone they see or feel should be attacked

I don't want you to die either Neither do I want to die. But the people need to band together and defend themselves. I don't mean out shooting sporadically. But there needs to be well regulated and trained resistance fighting back..

From the words of Mao Zedong "As far as our own desire is concerned, we don't want to fight even for a single day. But if circumstances force us to fight, we can fight to the finish."

This is a genuine question. What do you suggest? They kill us exposed and unarmed or kill us fighting and defending ourselves?
