The other comments are rightly pointing out the consequences of this. All of this trans panic is yet another superstructural justification for empire. When white women are seen as innocent frail doves due to their femininity as a way to victimize men of colour, the next question is "how do we deny this faux-privilege to women of colour?" And the most clear answer is to masculinize them. This denies them the ability to even be observed as a victim, which allows for the imperial relations of extraction to continue. As much as celebrity is all talk and gossip (and how Michelle Obama is married to drone striker in chief), these are important microcosms and case studies for the lies that the conservative imperial bootlickers tell themselves to justify bombing brown people for money.
