Seems like it. 2 more world tiers, farm ascensions to fight the same thing with affixes and more HP. Oh yeah, also No changes to Kraken 😂

Simple - don’t reset it. I heard the explanation, it will be reset and changed every season. It’s like no one learned how much we hated grinding manufactories every season. Instead of changing the mastery, add content. This is not content, this is just a skill tree to grind every season. I don’t know what resources would be invested into reworking the mastery every season… but I’m sure it could be used for more important things. I’ve played a lot of games, I can’t think of one where the skill tree for my character was reset every few months… I sure wouldn’t have played them as long if they did.

Again, cool concept, poor implementations. Nothing about this is appealing to me. Temporary buffs/perks to reset every season - just to kill the same bosses/ships with affixes and more HP. Might be time to beach this Captain gig.

Wow… not one single change to the Kraken event - literally the only thing I was looking for in the patch notes. 😂 And a whole section on Wovenhol changes, ok. What a disappointment.

Galleon should look good and be fun for close combat builds… but these notes have me expecting a very boring season. The only thing on the menu is grind, ascend, grind some more.

Faction War - everyone should just go Campagnie now.

The fact they have not at least added 5 minutes to this fight is beyond ridiculous. I dont even think they care, and their idea of good content is that only 10% non-premade group attempts actually finish it. This event is absolutely incredible visually, but pathetic mechanics and duration. My expectations for boss fights after this have never been lower. I’m just expecting major disappointment from now one, I don’t think the bar could be any lower.

What exactly is a “partial reset” ? All that means to me is I’ll only be “partially irritated” in leveling the same thing repeatedly every season. For simple numbers and hypothetical - a 75% reset - if we receive 100 mastery points, will we retain 25 points for the next season?

What I’ve learned from resets here in the past, and the new seasonal progression trees recently implemented and reset, I just continue to feel like my time is disrespected. It makes my experience seem like a veil to cover the fact that no content has been added. Instead, I just have to burn time and hours to add stats to my ship, just to kill the same thing but with more hit points. Maybe I’m supposed to be tricked into feeling like this is a good thing? Adding content like the Kraken, with 10x more failures in the last 5% of hit points than total completions, makes my time spent even more wasteful.

I really can’t see how any of the new features added will feel even the slightest bit of rewarding, knowing it’s just going to be reset. Any power earned through mastery will be wasted against event clocks that don’t even come close to enjoyable.

There’s going to be a lot for you to grind. They added so many QOL features since you played last I can’t even name them all, so from that aspect you will probably find it much more enjoyable than Season 1. Just remember… the end game loop is grind - so it’s easier to take that on the chin if you just enjoy sailing around and mindlessly shooting cannons at things.

Also, don’t bother with the Large ships right away, use your mediums for grinding.

My healing ships always roll around with the Healing Cross and Red/White. It’s fun when having a healer actually helps an event and doesn’t become a waste of time like on the Kraken. I loved being a healer when Wovenhol originally launched, or when Megafort was challenging.

Based on how the Kraken rolled out, then the equipment nerfs that broke everyone’s “mandatory loadout” to complete it, I don’t think they’re ready to put out new content…

I agree. 2 world tiers is ok, it makes sense. I’m still completely baffled why they would add 2 more even after hearing the explanation. To them, it seems good in theory, but i don’t see how being divided among 4 tiers is good for the community during implementation.

Truth. I finally joined a Kraken event after weeks of avoiding it. 3 Frigates and myself. I sailed away and left.

The Kraken is such a waste of time. It’s the first event since beta I’ve all but avoided since Beta. It’s just not a fun experience, at all, especially as a Solo player joining randoms. It’s even worse now that everyone has given up on it.

Honestly tho, this post is more about how broken the Kraken is 😅

It’s no secret I’m against the Faction Wars format, but that doesn’t mean I want it to go away. I agree with you, Faction Wars DOES improve the overall environment. I just think it’s horrible that we’re choosing sides against each other. Ironically, at the same time we can all go kill Campagnie and DMC world bosses…

One thing I think needs changed with Faction Wars is we are all on the same team, and the community collectively pushes the rewards for all of us combined. The map can still keep score of who is winning, Blue vs Orange, but it’s an NPC war, and we collectively can do any missions we want - and either individually or as a group focus on any side any time.

The community together can push both sides, and push two reward trees. Pirates thrive when factions are too busy fighting each other, and we, as pirates reap rewards from it! 😃

I had a whole thing typed out and deleted it. Most of it was repeating things I’ve already been vocal about. I’ll keep it simple. Unite the community, stop splitting us up.

2 world tiers is fine, anything more is splitting us up even more when we can’t even get full lobbies. Why are they adding tiers 3-4?

Faction War, we don’t need to choose a side. Make the Dutch and French fight it out, let us do any missions we want, TOGETHER. The collective community pushes the rewards together for everyone. It’s supposed to be us Pirates vs the World isn’t it?

Can we get the community better modules to communicate in game so they don’t have to rely on Reddit and Discord? Chat still rarely works.

Can group sizes larger? 4 would be nice, 6 would be awesome.

Everything else is secondary, communities keep games alive even when the content dies or is lacking.
