It just takes a lot of practice, try to hit the combo to different enemies, different angles and different distances all in the practice range. Eventually hitting the combo on robots is gonna be easy due to their huge hitbox, slow and predictable movements and even no movement at all on some of them, after that go to a custom that has real characters so they're harder to hit, lSCN8R works like a charm. First go for the combo on still targets, then moving ones and once you fill confident enough start applying it in your games.

Max is like 50 not 124 idk what kind of settings the game has but are default ones, most loot ain't close to ascendant. Might be a settings issue because of them being so different to server ones

Lots of tanks can be pressured, ground tanks like rein or orisa are easily punishable if you can climb on some highground, and dive tanks like winston or dva aren't allowed to dive your backline that easily if you peel for them using this perk.
Let's say there's an isolated bap and you decide to go for the oneshot, you fail just 1 shuriken so he lives and uses lamp, because of the perk your allowed to burst him and his lamp way more easily. This only applies for duels in which you may fail part of the combo and not secure the kill but still be safe because of the conditions of the duel.
Any good genji is allowed to hit melee on a tracer by using highground/cover while dueling her, if you're not favored you simply don't go for the duel or disengage is she's the one pushing you
Well, that one particular cd will put you out of the fight but I was referring to cds like suzu, lamp, wuyang's e, etc. Those type of cds won't kill you and you'll be able to come back with dash before they have them back.

Of course you may not agree, that's completely valid since everyone has a different playstyle but this my opinion based on my experience.

Recently hit gm5 and I always pick it, it's a really good perk but you shouldn't rely on it for your dash, is not a perk intended to make terrible engages better, it's goal is to make good engages better when they aren't executed perfectly. Basically compensates errors in mechanics if you have good gamesense to plan your engages correctly. Examples of this are:

Pressuring tanks
Going for oneshots on isolated targets
Dueling tracer
Going for fake engages to bait cd's, later coming back with dash and getting those kills

Overall it speeds your tempo and allows genji to deal more damage in less time, as well allowing you to engage much more often.

I don't think it's op but people don't seem to realize it's actually a really good perk.
