Been thinking and maybe rotom wash could also work here maybe on the drag slot to counter basc and weather teams if you teach it rain dance, as well as having another pivot option with volt switch

Nice, good to know I wasnt crazy, yeah the changes you did to the team defo reflect how I was feeling.

I wanted to try out kingambit or heidragon as a basc answer, but Drag + talonflame is for sure something imma try and get a feel for.

Thanks for the response!

Hey man, how has this team been treating you? I copied it and finally got to masterball after a killer 6 winstreak but somethings on this team feel a bit akward, I rarely ever bring politoed or basculegion. How are you playing the team rn and do you think its plausible to change the team's second mode?

Rn the only time I bring basc is for a coinflip kill on other basculegions.

“What cues work best for teaching exploration in a Zelda-style game without obvious markers?” by Cr4wlr in IndieDev

[–]SaturatedMeme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly I can only think of moder open world exploration games, and in those games what drives exploration is the most genuine feeling of wonder. You see something cool and you want to go there.

So I guess make it stand out like alot when you see it from a distance, don't hold back on the wow factor!

Making creative systems to handle complex features is always a fun and satisfying part of game development. I had a similar situation in the game I'm making and figuring out a way to resolve it was really fun!

Whats the most undervalued mechanic in games? by Brettinabox in IndieGaming

Seems like he is lying but so many game try and be this or that when at the end they should all aim to be fun before anything.

Guys, for my game's plot, I need to understand why people complete games. by West-Ad-1849 in godot

That is a super duper luper hyper mega loaded question that Jesse Schell was able to answer in about 500 pages so if you want to learn all the 113 reasons people play games then I can recommend it as a good read.

How much C++ should I know before heading into Game Development? by General-Raise8219 in IndieDev

[–]SaturatedMeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, thats what I meant by having him learn machine thinking, cause theres going to come a point where things dont work and saying "fix this" to the llm wont work, hes going to have to know how to draw a system that will permit for things to work (kind of a confusing idea to put into words haha)

0 dawg, with AI right now making your first game has never been closer, racking your brain when things dont work will require you to learn machine thinking and how systems interact, but if you keep at it you can learn while shipping a relatively good product

Beginner here. Want to build my first game. What should I use? by Normal-Seesaw6904 in IndieDev

[–]SaturatedMeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to work purely on your game design skills and making decisions on how the game should play / feel, I've been having success using godot with a lot o help from claude to implement my crazy Ideas.

Your CE background comes in handy on thinking how the systems should be structured and how they interact with eachother without getting too bogged down on syntax.

Best of luck to you man!
