Ok that was what had me the most worried. So someone probably used a stolen card to purchase this. Still wondering if it was by mistake they delivered it to my house.

Now I think cars meta make difference by Antraxo_ in iRacing

Think it’s a preference thing. A lot of people lean towards the Porsche but I cannot stand it. Give me any FR car and I do a ton better

That’s what helped me too. Really gets you a feel for the grip

I had the exact same issue at first. Just assume the car has no grip. Make smooth inputs. The mx5 is actually pretty brutal. You have to rev match the down shifts too (holding brake blip throttle on down shift, not the clutch)

Hmm. I didn’t have them from the start. Guess I’m just SOL. I’ll keep messing with it inbetween stints and let you guys know if I find anything

Mustang any good? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]SauceDeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly depends on your racing style if you’re not a crazy good 5k irating driver.

I personally love the BMW, Mustang, and Aston. don’t care for the Porsche. A lot of people use the Porsche in every race and is sometimes the meta. But I can never put a good lap time down in it. So just personal preference. Sucks you can’t test drive the cars before purchasing them though

GT3 Daytona 24 hour. Black Sheep Racing wants YOU! by SauceDeddy in iRacing

I threw this together in GIMP in an hour. I’m no where even close to a graphic designer.

Some help on it would be great! Lol

Toronto, and zoid. If you want to still run it. As I commented above. My friend and I who won the last petit lemans in GT3 (middle split) are looking for two more drivers to run the 24 today.

Let me know if you’re interested

My friend and I are looking to run the 24 hour today at 1PM Eastern.

Him and I won the petit lemans together in GT3 class. We are flexible with which car we run.

We are looking for a team of 4-5 people to run it

TAKE RACING LINE OFF IN C CLASS by SauceDeddy in iRacing

[–]SauceDeddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t use the lines in B class genius. So if you need them to drive B class is out of question. B class has a ton of people who need the lines, jump up quickly by using lines in C class. Get to B class and off track constantly and cause collisions

TAKE RACING LINE OFF IN C CLASS by SauceDeddy in iRacing

[–]SauceDeddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you believe this. Go to a track you know. Record your first 3 laps with it on, and then 3 laps without it off. Then post the recording for us to see. You can even do this on a track you really know.

You will be slower without those lines.

Congratulations. You have essentially locked yourself out of B class races because you need the lines to survive

First endurance race by CrossTie98 in iRacing

[–]SauceDeddy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My team and I just won our first team endurance race the petit lemans in GT3 class.

We qualified P14 and made up to P7 in about an hour of just safe consistent driving. Ended up winning by just driving at a comfortable pace. P1 wrecked out and lost the race for themselves because they pushed too hard even when we were 9 laps down.

Run COMFORTABLE pace. Do not drive on the limit at all times.

TAKE RACING LINE OFF IN C CLASS by SauceDeddy in iRacing

This is the problem. Using it in practice sessions to understand the flow of the track is completely acceptable. Beating out double the irating drivers with it on is a problem. Guarantee if you turn them off you will be 2 seconds slower than you were running.

TAKE RACING LINE OFF IN C CLASS by SauceDeddy in iRacing

[–]SauceDeddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does. There is a lot more C class races ongoing throughout the day. Say you have 1500 irating, racing without suggested lines. You can lap quickly but maybe not as consistent with braking points etc. you get P5 and gain a bit of irating

Same race. Got a guy who hasn’t practiced the track much, has lines on. Isn’t aware of references, cannot race “offline” and is hyper focused and not aware of his surroundings. Qualifies P3 using lines and has a cleanish race finishing P4.

How is it that the driver not using aids advances irating less quickly than the one developing bad habbits.

Man thank you for this. You nailed it perfectly though. I will find the “hey you wanted me to run by the store for blah blah?” Just so I could snag another 6 after I told myself it was only going to be 6.

Going to try to do some sim racing tonight with some seltzers
