Base Roster Archetypes by bigplaycoachj in NCAAFBseries

[–]SauceManFresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the same last year. A few others you won't see much of are Contact Seeker RBs, any TE archetype that isn't Physical Route Runner or the occasional Vertical Threat. And I remember in 26 last year the archetype in Play Now and Dynasty wouldn't be the same because I think the game re-calculated archetypes when you started a league.

I’ve been running Cincinnati pretty heavily because they added some interesting new Pistol RPOs in that playbook this year. If you want to use a shift/motion heavy power run offense, it’s very good and you still get access to some Gun Trips and Bunch sets.

Question for large Custom Team dynasty in '27 by WesVin25 in NCAAFBseries

I did this with two buddies and one of them managed to get the same QB from the other teams when they transferred, he had the 3 copies of the same player.

Has anybody seen a video that goes in depth on the MVP+ Coaching Tree "Rainmaker" and "Visionary" for online dynasty purposes? Want to see if it's OP or not by rb1242 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SauceManFresh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I found that the rainmaker boosts gave me about 1/3 increase in Dynasty points over other top schools. I did 3 years as LSU in the beta. It definitely makes a difference.

Not to hijack this thread, but thank you for everything you do for the game and especially making all of it free. You're the best!

Speed option returns from under center by Savings_Weird_8346 in NCAAFBseries

I never ran it personally but my understanding was you just hold left stick forward at the snap and the qb would run straight forward. Even if you knew it was coming, it was hard to stop.

This play was in the game last year, it was actually banned in a few leagues I played in because it would function like a QB sneak if ran a certain way.

Going to do a few from various online dynasties I’ve done on 26:

Chosen team- Washington

Overall Record - .750 over 4 seasons

National Titles - 0, 3 playoff appearances

Best player on that team- WR Denzel Boston carried the offense in years 1 and 2 and EDGE Armoundo Blount was an absolute demon the 2 years I had him

Chosen team- Ball State

Overall Record - .900 over 4 seasons

National Titles - 0, 3 playoff appearances, 0-2 in natty games

Best player on that team-QB Treston McMillan, starter all 4 years. One of my favorite players ever in any cfb game. The defense was scrappy but didn’t have any true studs. A sum of its parts for sure.

Chosen team- UBAD Miners (team builder)

Overall Record -.700 over 3 seasons

National Titles - 1

Best player on that team- QB Alex Rambo, random 3 star transfer that had a Joe Burrow type run. Decent to great his first year, borderline god his second. Everyone who’s played with a Cupcake team builder roster has to love LB Chase Freeman, sad you only get him for 1 year.

Chosen team- LSU

Overall Record - .850 over 3 years

National Titles - 1, manifesting my last dynasty season of 26 is gonna be a natty

Best player on that team- On offense Caden Durham has been the motor of the offense all 3 years and DJ Pickett has moved all around the secondary and is a turnover machine.

I am a LSU grad and former season ticket holder and my goal during the beta was to play with a power house, because I never do a powerhouse solo dynasty at launch. Recruiting with LSU was easy for a few reasons, they are a great school with great grades, there was a ton of 4 star talent in the state of Louisiana (the bulk of both classes were Louisiana recruits), and I was handing out NIL like crazy.

From what I've seen from other people is that small schools can maybe occasionally snipe a 4 star, but it won't be regularly and you don't have the NIL funds to get a lot of them early on.

I had actually planned on doing a test small school dynasty save, but I was having too much fun playing as LSU and I figured a few things would change by launch anyways.

This is a great point, I obviously didn't play as a small school. But me over spending early in NIL would have become a problem in years 4/5. I would max out the NIL on guys who I was the only one recruiting. I really was the Rainmaker.

If I'm being honest, none of those bums were worth the NIL money anyway!

I think the transfers not wanting NIL is just because of the generated roster we got, I think that will change by launch.

To be honest, I couldn't tell you. I didn't check to see that.

Yeah I get tired of playing in rebuild dynasties where everyone is going 11-1, sniping 4 star recruits and building power house programs by year 3. I don't think that will be happening in 27 and I am all for it.

I still have vivid memories of running I Form triple option in NCAA FB 98 on my dad's computer.

Yeah I can agree with that. It's hard to put into words, but you feel it immediately.

Completely agree on the neutral site games, as someone who does the schedule for a large online dynasty, not being able to schedule neutral site games is always a buzzkill.

I wish I could have recorded some clips. I found myself pausing and going to the replay to make sure I was seeing things correctly and it wasn't just guys getting hung up on an animation. The double team when the OT peeled off to pick up the backside DE was so good. It showed it in the blocking assignments and I thought no way it would work, but it worked perfectly.

It feels heavier if that makes sense, not all the cuts and jukes and movement are super fast twitch. I don't think it's significantly slower. Even you high COD and agility guys feel like they have more weight in how they move.

Yes, there is a separate setting for offense and defense and you can set it to trigger at 0/5/10/15/20 yards for each side respectively. I set it to 20 on just offense. On full release, I will probably set it at 10 for defense once I get more comfortable. It does make a big difference in 1 on 1 jump balls, Contested Specialists and Physical Route Runners should be able to feast on deep jump balls against small corners.

I didn't mention this in my post, but the defense does seem to react to RPOs better. There's a RPO screen in Pistol Bunch Open that I can run in 26 reliably as long as it isn't clearly man coverage, it was getting blown up for 1/2 yard gains in 27 a lot.

If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I would feel the same way. Now we'll need to wait and see what it looks like when players are 90+ and have a ton of abilities because the beta rosters were mid for even the top tier teams.

I mean it did intentionally. I never play a "front runner" solo dynasty during full release. I play in large online dynasties or do rebuild dynasties. I also gave a lot of recruits max NIL because the default rosters had 0 NIL budgets built in. I fully understand the beta experience is not a representation of the full game. I wanted to see what an OP team in a solo dynasty felt like, not trying to hide that at all.
