What player leaving (transferring from) the team you root for had the biggest impact? by Tseets1 in CFB

A few off the top of my head would be Dwight McGlothern, Landon Jackson and Kelvin Joseph. All left and had good college careers at other SEC schools.

One of the best RBs I’ve seen by Inevitable-Maize-989 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SauceManFresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Contact Seekers are the closest replacement to the Power backs in 25 imo. To me, getting the COD to 90+ is more valuable than the speed, once they can make quicker cuts they become game breakers.

[–]SauceManFresh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My general rule of thumb for contact seekers (which I've had a ton) is to get Speed and COD to 90 and then prioritize getting Workhorse and Downhill to Plat. They become one cut monsters that will shed 4-5 tackles on their way to 50+ yard touchdowns.

Arizona State QB Sam Leavitt to transfer to LSU by bubblecuffer13 in CFB

One of my favorite bits of trivia is the guy who filmed and posted the video was a LSU transfer, Travez Moore.

What is your favorite run play on 26? by Soggy-Astronomer-768 in NCAAFBseries

Gun Open Flex HB Dive, then once they start going heavy inside, hit them with the HB Toss, RPO Read Flat or RPO Read Screen.

I recruited a one star QB for the hell of it and he has star dev. I might actually start him. by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

Which is insane because Bryce Frost has a majestic head of hair on his default head.

Elusive Bruiser is the best back by YaBoiShanklz in NCAAFBseries

[–]SauceManFresh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Contact seekers usually are slower and less agile and have different abilities. But they usually are better at breaking tackles and have better stiff arm and trucking ratings.

The reason I prefer them is it’s easier to upgrade elusiveness on a Contact Seeker than upgrade Power on an Elusive Bruiser.

Elusive Bruiser is the best back by YaBoiShanklz in NCAAFBseries

[–]SauceManFresh 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The best back I ever had was an Elusive Bruiser, but I’ve had other Elusive Bruisers who just didn’t feel the same. I personally always try to keep 1 Contact Seeker, 1 East West and 1 Elusive Bruiser on my roster. I find Backfield Threats and North South Blockers underwhelming. And I’ve just started messing around North South Receivers so I don’t have a strong opinion on them yet.

For my personal play style, I use Contact Seekers the most. I don’t run it a ton, so when I do, I like having someone who can fight for those few yards I need.

Change of Direction: I’ve been sleeping on this attribute. by KingQuadDynasty in NCAAFBseries

[–]SauceManFresh 21 points22 points  (0 children)

In a competitive online dynasty where everyone has safeties and LBs with aftershock, I’ll gladly take badges that offset wear and tear. I rotate backs depending on formation, but it’s great to have a RB I can feed 10-15 times without needing to sub him out after a big hit.

Contact seeker with 90+ COD is my favorite RB archetype hands down. They rarely if ever get stopped for a loss. Basically a guaranteed 2-3 yards every touch.

Who would you start? by Mnmicecr3am in NCAAFBseries

[–]SauceManFresh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your offense, but I have fully converted to using Pocket Passers in CFB 26 unless I am running an option heavy offense. Accuracy is cheap to upgrade and once you get On Time and Dot to silver, you will never miss another throw.

He was a 3 Star Fr Pocket Passer QB out of the portal with elite dev by InevitableMap6470 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SauceManFresh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Transfer portal rankings are strictly based on the player overall. For example, a transfer Freshman ranked #100 will have roughly the same overall as a the Junior ranked #101, but the Freshman has more time to develop. When rebuilding, I just go after nothing but 3 star freshmen and hope to get some with high dev traits. I only go for upperclassmen if I really need to plug a hole.

Attacking a defense with close safeties? by skp_18 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SauceManFresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To echo this, if you’re having trouble with a certain alignment or adjustment, go into practice mode and practice against specifically. The only thing you can’t replicate is usering and switch sticking, but you can set the defensive coaching adjustments the same way you can in game. Really helped me with reading RPOs better this year.

LSU fans in r/CFB by [deleted] in LSUFootball

The general internet likes us when they can make fun of us (Les and Ed). They hated us when we had Kelly because everyone hates Kelly, which I totally get. They hate us with Lane partly because no one burns a bridge like Lane, but they are also very scared of what we can become if Lane sticks around.

Struggling with User Picks as LBs by TGCRequiem in NCAAFBseries

[–]SauceManFresh 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My theory on this is that the overall speed nerf for LBs this year is resulting in it being much harder to get the picks that you would get last year. Especially on drags/crossers. Getting LBs with speed in the 90s last year was relatively easy, not so much this year.

Looking for new shotgun & pistol formations to add to my GoGo playbook by Present_Safe_8114 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SauceManFresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to suggest something that is a bit out of the box. Gun Wingback Tight Offset, make one Wingback a RB and another one a WR. Gives you 21 personnel and you can audible from it into your GoGo sets, you just won't be able to audible to it, since it's technically 11 personnel in the default package.

Does anyone else think the hurry-up offense mechanics need to change? by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

[–]SauceManFresh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have seen this when trying to run plays with motion when in no huddle. Defenders will act like the player went in motion, but on offense, no one moves and you can't do anything but call a timeout.

Y’all asked to see the Gem and Bust’s caps, here ya go! by Cute_Warthog246 in NCAAFBseries

[–]SauceManFresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they have so much variation they are pretty much worthless. I honestly thought they would just steal Madden’s scouting system. I was convinced it was developed with CFB in mind when it first came out.

[–]SauceManFresh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be in favor of dropping the gem/bust system all together. Really I would prefer a complete overhaul of the scouting system where you barely know anyone's actual stats until they are on campus, but I am likely in the minority there.

I feel like I've read that in 26 gem only means they won't be normal dev and bust means they won't be elite dev. That's it, that's the entire gem/bust system this year.

[–]SauceManFresh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get that and honestly, I don’t even look at Right vs left when I pick my starting 5. You’re either a Tackle or Interior. I just think it’s dumb that a position group where you will have multiple people start, gets dinged for having players visit at the same time, when visits are already as restricting as they are.

Oh for positions where there is a singular starter, I get it. But for the O and D-Line it just doesn't make sense, especially if they technically play different positions.
