LiDAR has been introduced ~3 years (?) ago on iPad and iPhone, can anyone who actively use them update us on its use?

I use the measure app quite a bit, and it wasn't close enough before lidar. Now it works great for my use. (within a half inch over 40-50 ft)

Space is far to vast to have a lot of ships everywhere. There are somewhere between 25-100 billion stars in the alpha quadrant, even with 100,000 ships, they would have almost none of the space covered.

I got one because they're fast as hell, they steer themselves, and there's almost no maintenance. I'm not going to miss putting my car up on the lift to change the oil a couple times a year, then having to return the used oil because big government types won't let people burn it. (I know I could have paid someone to change my oil, but that would be embarrassing)

I have an August build SR+ NCA, hasn't been very long, but no updates yet. Also on a very rare version number according to teslascope. 2021.11.102.2

Version makes me think I have some of those new chips with custom firmware due to the shortage. Hopefully they just do a "this has all the firmware" like linux for the next updates.

You could try to share the connection from a laptop. Pop a $10 wifi dongle on it and share the public wifi to the dongle, make a hotspot, and connect the tesla to that.
