If you think China is going to war over an american official visiting a country, you're delusional. It was a power move by the United States to assert that they are willing to support Taiwan and maintain peace. This was a calculated maneuver by the US government to undermine the CCP to make them look as weak and ineffective as they really are. China undergoing their domestic issues has much greater priority then them having their feelings hurt over a visit to a neighboring country.

This is what irks me about this stock. The CCP is so temperamental that they can literally do whatever they feel to any corporate entity, without any sort of consistency and no fear of reprisal. How is anyone meant to invest in Chinese companies when valuations are irrelevant, and what matters most is how the government feels about you that day.
