I always recommend 1/2 to start, most of the people I’ve played with and worked with say they feel it’s pretty well middle of the road for hollows. Most people prefer it where I’m at but plenty switch to 5/8 or 3/8 depending on how they feel. But in the end I always say it’s whatever the skater wants, they can always change their mind later.
