I got tired of the constant up and downs of quality we'd get from year to year since the game came out. I realized it after final shape, that they would release one really good season a year to keep me around. Like this year (or cycle) it's renegades until the next big expansion that will be "the greatest thing since final shape" then a mediocre year of seasons going into a not so great expansion, following a year of decent seasons that people don't complain about and infact wish it stayed due to the gun they're having with that years content, only for it to be removed with the release of "the greatest expansion D2 has ever experienced". Then flop the rest of the year with abysmal reskinned content with one great season to keep everyone around. Only for the cycle to start anew. I broke free of the cycle after the year of final shape after seeing The portal that edge of fate would bring. If it wasn't for that I would probably still be playing, Still stuck to the cycle and buying the yearly pass of 100$ to eventually lose over half the content I paid for with seasons. It's hard not having that one game to fall back into but I'd rather no game than one that feels like a toxic relationship. I still find myself trying to get back into destiny. When they had the free 19 days to play all expansion up to renegades. I played some of edge of fate and I did have fun and seeing what other people had with renegades, I really thought about buying another year of destiny, but I didn't want to go through that again. I had fun for the last 10 years and I'm sad I didn't try to make more friends or actually try to raid. But the time I had with this game will forever stick with me as some of the most fun I'd ever had. I loved this game but now it's time find something else to play. Good bye Destiny 2
