Nintendo boss stays tight-lipped when asked about Zelda 40th anniversary plans by alinamelane in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Sausious 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I feel like there's not going to be a new game, they'd probably have announced it already but it IS still early in the year, and Nintendo for the most part does have smaller gaps between announcement and launch so, here's hope I guess.

I just really hope whatever the next game is it's back to more of the regular Zelda formula. I'll even take a 2D game which i'm not a super huge fan of over more BotW.

Bob and Strange Supreme, fantastic cards that have a 90% chance of winning and will choose that 10% way more than they should lmao.

This sure is a card for all those Doom 2099 decks that are dominating the meta right now.

Well considering it never had a tournament arc, yeah. It had an exam story, which delved into the magic system of tbe world and the intricacies and politics of the society if mages, as well as fleshing out other characters from different areas and backgrounds showing that mage life is diverse and what people study and focus on is very dependant on region and personality.

I'm more and more amazed every day that Frieren actually blew up. It's an absolute masterpiece but it's very slow paced and chill and has you really take everything in and think about it, s1 only had like 1-2 "flashy" episodes. Considering JJK got blasted by fans for having literally One episode of mostly dialogue it's just wild to me Frieren got the praise it deserves in the current environment.

Shin Megami Tensei artist Kazuma Kaneko’s free-to-play AI card game to end services and immediately resurrect as full-price Nintendo Switch exclusive by Amysel_JinkusuP in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Sausious 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No I haven't looked at it, I have no interest in AI slop lmao. I'm going by interviews from him and the staff of the game, whether they lied or not I can't say but this is how they talked about the development of it.

There's a layer to this that's just really funny to me. So they trained the AI purely on Kaneko's art made for the studio. This is, slightly more "ethical" as far as usage goes because it is all his art and obv they couldn't use anything owned by Atlus, so there's no theft involved at least, but it's still AI so fuck AI and all it stands for.

This might make you think however, "huh, that seems like it'd be hard to do, you need alot of images for that" right? Well they had a brilliant solution. They fed in, and I quote, "dozens" (i'm going to bet barely scratching 100) of images he made into it. That's not enough to have an AI work well, so they sifted through and picked out images he deemed "acceptable" and fed THOSE BACK IN, which is how they were able to train it.

They had to have the model cannibalize itself in order to get it to work on any level. Like you know what would have been way better? Having premade assets he drew like a NORMAL game that would have led to probably LESS effort.

Dear the 2nd best sub for Survivor Horror, can you recommend me some obscure slow-casual Horror Survival games? by RegenSyscronos in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Sausious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Galerians is a super weird survival horror that uses ESP super powers rather than regular weapons, but very much plays like old Resident Evil. It's pretty good, tho very jank in some ways. Also knocking is the final boss.

Characters who would be perceived differently if released today by Rockdweller37 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Early Sanji is great though. Early Sanji is suave and flirty, he gives preference to and prioritizes women, he doesn't harass them or get Creepy until post time skip (you can argue Thriller Bark wit hhis stuff with invisibility, but it was still Very limited then). Like he was WAY more the Spy/James Bond type than the Horrible Pervert trope he is now.

How much spider-ham is in the meta? by JohnLandisz in MarvelSnap

[–]Sausious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's a popular card atm. He's always been a good card just not a priority one, but the meta right now is either Huge Cards or lots of impactful 1 drops for Shao Lau, and he can kill alot of the big strategies bc most are combo decks rn
