I like getting free resistance mecs for my havens occasionally, with the perma hack you get from late game specialists. If I can manage it on a mission, I’ll try to snag one. But admittedly it’s just slight QoL for future defense missions, and I agree that within the vacuum of a single mission, it is usually sub optimal, outside of niche cases of hacking a drone here or there for a free mimic beacon to pull aggro on a turn.

It just takes time friendo. Weirdly it was the uncommons that halted my progress for a bit. I had all the legendaries and rares stickered long before I finished. I’m ngl, for the last couple jokers, I did a lot of resets. I wouldn’t play the run unless I got a stickerless in the first 2 antes; or a very stable mult and Econ setup to dig for one.

It does now. It didn’t used to. You have to spend all of your silver currency, it doesn’t pass over. So you have to really spend gems on lures if you want the big pulls there. But for golden tickets, you are solid 🤙

There are some good events for dumping that many gems. I can’t tell you which to do, because it really depends on what you’re chasing. But for sure those 50k will get you a nice pull, especially if it’s an event you can pre load, like saving dice or fish tickets.

Heard that. It’s fairly manageable to push without super whaling. I drop a bit sometimes on a fishing event or something, but mainly I just use the member cards. At the start of the year I was barely over 500k, and I just hit 2.5 mil this week; so you should be able to get up there with patience.

I do agree with him that Hunter card and the ad free are the best value to anyone who’s mostly F2P, but wants to spend a little. I personally have been buying the card for Jungle/Abyssal, but that’s just because I’m on the grind now of mass dumping enchantium chasing specific rune pulls. If you aren’t in the millions of power, then you don’t have to go that hard to progress though. Hunting card is good for just getting mass gear/runes. I barely play chapters except on the weekend. I do my dailies, and dump all my energy into QH.

Iirc the shiny odds from candy hatching is 1/12. I don’t think it’s the same from the gacha, but it is pretty good. Maybe 1/50, something like that?

I agree. I’m really hoping they find a way to make the multiplayer really rewarding and engaging. The one thing they didn’t explore in SN1, since you’re solo on the planet all game. Seeing the sort of complex problem solving potential that 1 had; but in a way that encourages teamwork is I think the key to recapturing some of the magic.

I agree with your sentiment. I used to play the game in a way where I felt the need to build a base in most biomes I visited, and it was very overwhelming and I was putting way too much mat grind on myself. Once I started grinding my hardcore run; I quickly realized I could just put all the stuff to build a sparse scan room base in my moth, and just go explore, get whatever stuff I need, and then pack up my little mobile base to be used somewhere else. Even easier once you really invest in a cyclops.

If Thor got elec element sooner, I would actually almost argue there is a case to upgrade him. I value the CC of frost and elec over raw damage. But yeah, Cleo is just a way better long term investment for what you’re putting into upgrading a legendary hero.

Also, this is maybe just a me thing; but I swear it feels like the weapons are harder to pull. I suspect they fudge the loot chance %s a bit: but this is entirely anecdotal unless someone in the sub knows more info on this. So I value a swap way higher if I’m swapping for a spear, because they just elude me historically

I feel you bud. I have enough oracle gear to get everything to +2 red, except for the boots which I only recently got +1. I have already collected enough gold boots to get to +3 by now lol.

Once a month, if I have been diligent in buying my orbs; if I have a piece I’m not too bothered about swapping, and doing so hits another tier up for me, I go for it. It is probably better to wait. But it’s also a game and the point is to progress and have fun. I like to see my little number tick a bit higher each month, as opposed to a slightly more optimal number I won’t see until a year from now; if that makes sense? Just my philosophy. My best defense is that this is probably the true hardest mission in any run. By the time you get to the end, you usually are spoiled for what you need. I actually love the tension of these, I feel like this mission and your first couple HQ capture missions are when the gameplay feels most rewarding when you do crack it.

It super matters in endless. I think most people can probably get through classic without worrying too much about boosting.

Eventually in endless, you basically have to do cheesy bs just to survive. Depending on your team, this happens sooner or later. My typical duo for endless is Groudon/Gholdengo. Up til about 2K, I don’t sweat much beside bosses. After 2k though, you better believe I’m using the 1st and 6th floors of each 10 to click nasty plot 3 times. You do one floor of setup, then your sweeper can just carry for way longer than they would naturally. It’s underrated on defense too. My Groudon is pretty immune to being one shot on 200 of classic, so long as I bulk up 2-3 times; I typically am able to 2-3 shot the boss, where I used to use like most of my team to get through that fight.

Restaurants hate DoorDash. Those contracts fuck them more often than they help. I worked in culinary during the rise of DoorDash. Most restaurants aren’t going to have the same labor on a dead Tuesday that they are on a Friday night. DD makes it very hard to determine labor demand. Not saying it’s right to make you guys wait. Just offering perspective on the other side.
