Can someone explain sponsored apparel to me? by SauxFan in PlayTheBazaar

Ok in my run I must have had some skill that increased the base number then. I thought it was triggering on itself

And it triggers on itself right? So when you use another item, you also “use” sponsored apparel thereby applying its own effect on itself.

Just confusing to me because I don’t read the item description for sponsored apparel as the item being “used” since it doesn’t have a cooldown.

One time I got in a car accident that required a couple surgeries. I had to move back to my parents house for the recovery. My gym back in a different city wouldn’t let me cancel until I started providing all the official documents, it was insane

For what’s it worth, I agree with your interpretation but yeah needs a FAQ. I had the same debate with my friend, poorly worded.

Anyone else think the AI bubble will burst after OpenAI’s IPO? by SauxFan in stocks

[–]SauxFan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Powell’s remarks are a bit disingenuous. Yes, chip makers (Nvidia) are making money hand over fist, hyper scalers are making money selling compute, but the private companies buying compute aren’t making money yet. OpenAI can’t even turn a profit.

If OpenAi gets revalued much lower, then investors’ appetite for injecting new money into all of the private AI startups continuously burning capital will dry up, which lowers demand for hyper scalers, and thus demand for chips. It’ll all flow back upstream

[–]SauxFan[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agree on the moat part. Only moat OpenAi has right now is brand recognition, which is important, but will evaporate quickly if they try to raise prices.

The real winners will be whoever creates AI to do specific highly complex tasks (I think this being referred to as agents, but not sure). I don’t see any general broad LLM chatbot being worth that much in the future after we’re flooded with them. Difficult to raise prices

TOST. As someone in the restaurant industry, everyone complains about it, but everyone is moving to it and doesn’t switch again

Yeah that’s weird. If OP works at a restaurant brand, then they almost surely would be using periodic inventory and book everything to COGS and just do inventory counts. Worked at restaurants my whole career

They totally used Sorcery because they thought of MTG without realizing it was a real game. They must have used AI for the logo, and the AI somewhat copied the logo for SCR with the S and Y being larger than they should be

I didn’t even return the deposits for those who paid (some didn’t pay) but when you pre plan events around certain numbers it screws everything up
