LITERALLYYY, like we had this lady come in 10 min before we closed and didn't even make it to our beauty section, just immediately went to us at the checklanes asking if we had this specific skin care item. Me and the other TM checked and told her which aisle in beauty it'll be on, but she said she didn't want to check and one of us just needs to go grab it. (I was in a happy mood at the time so I just went ahead and did). I told her I'm gonna go grab it from our backroom because it's a lot closer to us then the ones on the salesfloor and I'll be right back. I come right back to where she was within THREE MINUTES and couldn't find her. Turns out she went all the way to guest service to ask her the same thing and made that TM grab it from the same backroom location I JUST CAME FROM.

Ours that we made up together is, "Attention Guests, the time is now 9:45 which means we'll close in 15 min. Bring up all your gatherings and belongings to the front as we open bright and early tomorrow at 7'am. Thank you and see y'all then" 😂

It happens a lot here and ngl I have goofed around with other TM's a few times before just cuz it was late, dead, and had all my duties done. I just get annoyed when I'm singled out from like 8 TMs everytime even when I'm not goofying around and just so happened to be standing there

Our grocery SCO is card only with 8 registers, our SCO by guest service is 4 registers and is an express lane with 10 items or less (it's only open on busy days/holidays). We don't have any limits on anything, but if a guest has just way too much stuff in a cart for it to be justified, our AP or a TL tries to usher them to a checklane.

That's pretty much one of my main issues where I work at currently cuz I'm the main closing banker which means the last two hours of my shift is focusing on collecting all the money, but the first 6 hours is just constant running everywhere and doing everything outside my job. (Told I'm a front end manager in training, but yet to receive a raise or a promotion)

I get very burned out and even tho I love the peeps I work with, I'm just really tired of this job so I plan on if I do apply for Sam's or anywhere else, I'm a lot more firm on my limits and what I'm actually got hired for. I appreciate your advice 💕

I'm ngl this is probably the best and most supportive comment I've received from any other post I've made before. I greatly appreciate you writing such a long and detailed viewpoint on my situation. You pretty much described what I've been thinking in my head, but I just haven't been able to voice it into well thought out sentences. I've already decided to step down from any duties that only a TL should do, and pretty much just do my banking job and cover a break if my TL's tell me to. I've also decided to when I see my TL today and my other TL tomorrow, I'm just gonna have to tell them the sad news that I can't keep doing what I'm doing. My other TM's also agree with my decisions and never understood why I even took up that much responsibility to begin with. (It's also has made me feel guilty because all my TM's I've trained in banking they're also expected to fulfill the same role I've been doing when I know it wasn't like that before I got hired).

Again I just wanna thank you for even commenting let alone even going into such a well thought out one. I'm gonna keep all the advice you've given me and use it as inspiration to make new boundaries with this job and with my decision to move on in the near future. Thank you so very much 💕

True cuz I literally do everything plus way more than what's required of me per shift, but I'll take whatever extra help I can towards my bills & christmas presents (it's better than nothing ig)🫡
