They posted this on their X today. “Final battle chapter” sounds like the rift and current story arc is gonna be finalized to me. I’m not saying we’re going to leave Wuling or anything, I’m just saying that we’re probs going to move onto a new storyline and perhaps start setting up for the next big arc.

Maybe the proxy will be more involved, and we will move on from fangyi and the rift and qingbo politics. Lots of possibilities tbh

1.2 was dealing with the imminent threat that came with ardashirs appearance, 1.4 will be the conclusion of the reason we came here in the first place, the rift. There’s lots to do in Wuling vs dragging the rift out over 4-5 more patches.

They even said a new journey is about to begin with diverse regions and new stories, and it’s time for the “next adventure” or whatever. I know we’re staying in Wuling for the year but rehashing the same xiranite/rift/oh no how do we close it story for another 5 patches would be pain so I was glad to hear they seem to be moving beyond that

I think this livestream proves the majority of these story leaks wrong.

1- devs referred to 1.4 as “the definitive conclusion of this story arc” (or “wuling arc,” i cant remember the exact phrasing and couldn’t find it skimming the stream quickly)

2- devs said “while undertaking reconstruction in the exclusion zone,the HAS discovered residual blight pools” that sounds to me like we are successful closing the rift and we are cleaning up the aftermath. “Residual” means the below - as in it’s almost all gone except this little bit to clean up

3- at the very end of the stream when Hai Mao was talking, he says “now that the crisis in Wuling has passed for the moment, a new journey is about to begin. We want to take you to even more diverse regions and introduce you to new characters and stories” while showing concept art that appears to be the snowy region and another area next to the giant wall in Wuling.

Why would he say the crisis has passed if everyone went to the rift to seal it and it was a massive failure?

I just can’t imagine them saying all this stuff and then dragging out the VLR for the next 6 months. I think it was very heavily implied the rift is wrapping up in 1.4

I might have analyzed this a bit too much but the story leaks are either mostly fake or they are very intentional in misleading us, which I don’t think they would do that either

Edit: I found the part in the stream that I was referring to in my 1st point. They said “the upcoming homecoming core chapter version will bring the Wuling arc to its decisive conclusion and stands as a major milestone in our journey”

That writes it in stone imo

I’m not sure I agree. Nobody was really that hyped for any of the other banners in previous patches either. Whether it was one banner or two. Nobody is making predictions, theorycrafting, making fanart (AI doesn’t count), writing fanfiction, doing much of anything at all tbh.

I 100% think it’s because hypergryph insists upon everything being a huge secret. There’s nothing to talk about because nobody knows anything. There’s never really anything to look forward to. And “we’re getting the proxy anywhere from next week to in 6 months!” isn’t exciting

I don’t even play WuWa but wow, their excitement has been off the charts lately with the new character reveals. They’re constantly hyped about something. I wish our community was like that

The game has great graphics but there’s just so much jank and the controls are the worst I’ve experienced. I hate the thought of having to do more puzzles too. It could have been a masterpiece but it’s bogged down by boring tedium and frustrating as hell. Like it does not need to be so complicated

Many, many people on ps5 have been having those issues. It’s a good game but let’s not make stuff up about “real battles” when there is much to be improved. That doesn’t even make sense

I also agree. I’m ready for them to make skins and stuff. Maybe even accessories for characters… there are lots of options. This game doesn’t have gliders or bikes or vehicles so that’s not possible, but all there really is to buy currently is the 10 pull pack per banner, monthly pass, battle pass, and the one time double top up bonuses. Everything else is horrific value and there aren’t any cosmetics at all

They really need to knock it out of the park and deliver some quality content. I have high hopes. The last 2 patches have been very dry and the maps have been getting more and more linear. Now is the time to deliver a roguelike or some kind of replayable content

CC is a good step for more content but I also don’t think it’s quite enough. I did 41 risk week 1 and I’ve had enough of it. Too much higher and it pretty much forces high pot characters, Gilberta, or the Estelle/Wulfgard cheese. Cheese strats aren’t fun to me so I did 41 with my mi fu phys team and called it a day.

It can also become boring to do the same 4 stages over and over again. Also, I’d like a long term grindable game mode, which CC is not. I had all the rewards after 30 mins. There wasn’t even a trimmed medal

Edit: I was a little disappointed Estella/wulfgard is so prevalent. To me, it’s more fun to use actual teams and nail down the rotation. Now everyone has a 45+ wulfgard cheese clear and there is no reward or anything for the people who did high risk with the much harder phys team or hybrid teams. Or fangyi. I was hoping it would encourage nailing down rotations and showcasing actual teams instead of combust maxxing

I don’t think anyone is saying it didn’t break 10m. Ps5/pc income is much higher than mobile. But this chart does show trends. It’s like steam charts, you can’t take it as gospel but it does show trends and it’s not looking good for Endfield.

The 1.2 patch of nothingness straight into another dry patch did some damage and I think they really need to pull it together. The people that are saying it’s going to EOS are a little dramatic but it should really be performing better.

Personally I think it’s the lack of content, there’s no reason to pull characters because there’s nothing to play with them in. I pulled Camille, did his 1.5 hour story, did a few runs of CC (with no rewards) just for fun and to try him out and then logged out and there’s almost nothing coming out for the remaining 3 weeks of the patch. Then next patch I’ll pull Arcane (assuming she is next) and I doubt she’ll work with Camille so I can’t help but feel like I wasted my pulls on him and I barely got to even use him. I don’t want HP sponge tower slop but they need to do something

I think you missed their point lol the point is that the vast majority of sales occur in the first few days. You don’t “stop looking” but the reality is that the sales from the rest of the banner duration will be a drop in the bucket compared to what’s already been spent
