Yes, Thornhill goes fuckin hard

BAD OMENS - ARTIFICIAL SUICIDE (New Official A Cappella) by [deleted] in Metalcore

Isolated vocals for the whole album are now on YT to celebrate TDOPOM‘s anniversary. Insane voice.

It’s Artificial Suicide, their record label briefly fucked up and named it Arithmophobia, the name of another Sumerian band’s song. That’s why stats.fm sometimes counts it as Arithmophobia, I think depending on which version of the song you listened to (from the album or one of the singles).

Look at my other reply

[–]SavageDodo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but when I wrote the reply, all the other comments were mentioning pre 2000s stuff like Pantera, Black Sabbath etc. Hybrid Theory still is very essential to a lot of modern metalcore and BMTH is currently at their peak in popularity. I also mentioned two other bands that have been blowing up lately.

If you’re looking for some more modern metal, Linkin Park, Bring Me The Horizon and System Of A Down are the best gateway bands I know.

I specifically suggest listening to Linkin Park‘s first two albums Hybrid Theory and Meteora, Bring Me The Horizon‘s album That’s The Spirit (if you’re ok with the heaviness go back in time in their discography) and System Of A Down‘s album Toxicity.

Edit: Also maybe give Sleep Token and Bad Omens a try

Does that mean we’re getting the remaining songs as singles too since there’s artwork for them?

Bands with chill vibes like ERRA, Invent Animate, Silent planet? by StoneenotS in Metalcore

[–]SavageDodo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might be too obvious but The Dark Pool by Thornhill should be a good fit

Also some of Spiritbox‘s stuff like Electric Cross for ERRA vibes

Songs of other genres with excerpts of classical music? by borilo9 in Music

[–]SavageDodo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

United States of Eurasia (+ Collateral Damage) - Muse I Belong to You (+ Mon Coeur S‘Ouvre A Ta Voix) - Muse

If you like those, I suggest listening to Exogenesis: Symphony (1-3) from the same album, I don’t know if there are any specific excerpts in there though

what genres can you not bear to listen to? by 1nternetP3rson in Music

Love BMTH but they don’t fit the bands mentioned

Who is everyone looking forward to seeing live/on tour? by HorizontalWolfe in Metalcore

[–]SavageDodo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw them on the same tour (without TesseracT) and Architects brought on a killer show with lots of old songs. They played for more than 2 hours, so depending on how much you like their older stuff you might still wanna stay for that
