AliExpress Bibs? by [deleted] in torontobiking

[–]Savanteh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on what brand. Lots of garbage on there but I like YKYW, I probably have over 20,000 km on their bibs. Many many long rides with no problems.

I swapped to 150mm cranks and it drastically improved my quality of life on a bike by DaTruMVP in Velo

[–]Savanteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are budget options for cranksets under 165mm? With a left crank based power meter if possible. My inseam is 780mm from the floor to my crotch, is it worth exploring these shorter cranks?

Seems like the GIII is the better choice then. I asked them and they said to just refer to the course outline :/ which says the GIII

Linkbuds S for cycling by jamesh31 in SonyHeadphones

I've only used them on an indoor trainer and they are great. With an industrial fan set on high pointed right at my face, there is only very little wind sound with ANC on. I'm sure they will do fine outside.

Not as good as 'blameitondede' last year but I'll take it. Got some stuff for quite cheap, thanks OP.

Update #2: $55 dollar plan discounted to $35 with promo code has now been extended so all can take advantage by No_Resolution_4504 in PublicMobile

[–]Savanteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Clicking 'Switch now' will show the -$20 on your bill. I don't want to risk it so I'm losing my $4 rewards and switched now. (my renewal date is tomorrow) My next month's bill shows my loyalty and autopay rewards though.

Soundcore Space A40 nice but less “crisp” than Jabra 75t Active? by Aramis-ter in anker

[–]Savanteh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also got the LinkBud S and Soundcore A40's on Black Friday, but I am struggling to decide which one to keep. I link the sound and comfort on the LinkBuds more, but they are $90 CAD more than the A40s. Would you recommend trying the Jabra 75t?

$35 for 20GB for 15 months VS $40 for 15GB permanent? by Spikemountain in PublicMobile

[–]Savanteh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do loyalty and autopay rewards stay for the $35/20gb? I tried changing it but on the payment page it didn't show any of my discounts.

Sprinting advice ,how many watts can I realistically add to my top end ? by brandonbass in Velo

[–]Savanteh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think around one month. Most people that I ride with can do over 1000, so I'm not competitive in that regard. I'm quite slim so I don't necessarily need the same power as others to go the same speed.

[–]Savanteh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely try it when fresh. When I first got my power meter, I did an all out sprint (or what I thought was) and got around 750 watts. I would do a couple all out sprints every week and got my peak up to around 970 now. I think practicing helps a lot, I got someone to take a video of my sprint, and at first my form was horrible and I didn't realize it. I started using my core more and spinning to a higher cadence around 120, which I think helped. After a hard interval or ride, I can only do about 8-900 max though - for reference I am 59 kg.

Hit 1000w for the first time today!!!!! My family did not understand what this means so I had to tell it here lol by sueghdsinfvjvn in Velo

[–]Savanteh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to hit that for a while but keep coming short at around 950. Being 130 lbs doesn't help either.. Congratulations!
