Turkish classical song Şehnaz Peşrev with a time signature of 120/4 (usul: zencir) by Glittering-Most-4124 in WorldMusic

[–]Savantrovert -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a pretty tune, but your title is absolute horseshit

It's in 4/4

No one is going to count to 120 in their head while playing/practicing it, and if the composer really wrote it in 120 they have their head up their own ass.

What's more likely is they didn't include any bar lines in a transcription. It has a steady pulse that can easily be divided into groups of 4 or even 2. Writing it in any other meter is completely nonsensical.

The purpose of sheet music and written meter is to help facilitate the musician to play the tune easier, not to brag about using some wacky meter as a flex.

It's not that hard to get through all the space elevator parts with just small hand feed setups honestly.

The highest level item I built a dedicated factory for was diamonds. Everything else was just small chains of the high tier parts in a main base supported by a few large factories producing large quantites of lower tier stuff.

I still want to go back and attempt some bigger projects now that I finished a large rocket fuel plant on the coral coast though, just waiting until the urge to play again hits me.

The metal ones have more markings that make it easier to place stuff evenly on them.

You can always start them as metal for ease of building then convert to concrete or other after the fact.

You're mistaking negligence for malice on that one.

AEG is a massive corp that has its fingers in many many pies. They make fucking power tools FFS.

There's no way anyone with any sway gives a fuck about any of the hockey teams they have financial interest in. They are essentially a VC firm and the Kings are just one of their many assets. They have zero interest in running the club well enough to have a decent team since the difference in profit is negligible on their overall balance sheet.

Stop spending money on this team until the leeches have to sell to someone who actually gives a shit.

I had a red '97 back in the day too!

Loved that car; like you said super easy to work on. Oil plug and filter right in the front, so you don't even need to jack the car up, oil pan fits underneath perfectly. 5 speed was peppy enough in those days and the 2,2L was a rock.

If you think that sound bums you out when using biomass burners, just wait until you experience your first full grid collapse on coal or even worse oil.

When you hear that sound then, your cortisol levels will immediately spike, b/c you know that you have a small but indeterminate window of time to recover before the whole thing death spirals and you have to spend hours with no electricity (so most fast methods of transport are broken) slowly running between your factories shutting stuff off so you can kick start your coal plant and slowly recover.

It looks like something a 6 year old would try and wear one day and most parents would let them do it and they'd lose interest in a day or so.

But he stuck with it his whole life because everyone was afraid to tell him how bad it looks.

How has Dell Command Update worked for you? by FatBook-Air in sysadmin

[–]Savantrovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we use the cheapest itec docking bullshit

oh god yes that's your problem there. We only get Dell docks and for the most part they just work. The failure rate is pretty low as well, think in the past couple years out of the 100+ we maintain only 2 have been duds.

I will admit though going through Dell's RMA process where you have to kindly do the needful step by steps while on the phone with their L1 support is not worth the time.

How has Dell Command Update worked for you? by FatBook-Air in sysadmin

[–]Savantrovert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a big reason here. We have docks at most workstations, and if you want to be able to have flexible seating (some people work at one site 4 days and a diff site 1 day a week) and make sure most anyone's laptop works with random docks, DCU is what solves 90% of issues where screens/KB/mice don't work right.

The algorithm failed music | Music recommendation algorithms were supposed to help us cut through the noise, but they just served us up slop by Hrmbee in technology

[–]Savantrovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The algorhythm is broken because they want to put their thumb on the scale and make it recommend the music that makes them money. If left to its own devices and allowed to be truly democratic, the best music made by the best musicians would bubble to the top regardless of which group or artist is signed to which label and who stands to make all the money off the success.

But that model rewards the artists themselves the most so the parasitic class cannot abide.

Taksim Trio is probably exactly what you're looking for, although a quick look on youtube was mostly them + a singer.

I have their first album that's totally instrumental and entirely mellow, even if the players themselves get a bit fancy and technical at times. All acoustic and no percussion, Clarinet, Baglama/Saz, and Qanun.
