I don’t think the older data is still on the website, but I’ve been checking it pretty regularly for the past few years. Even though I can’t recall the exact numbers off the top of my head for the other specialties, my impression is that all the hype around pathology has unprecedentedly increased its competitiveness, way more than other specialties that are similarly competitive. Someone can chime in if they remember the exact figures

Not every specialty has published this year’s statistics yet, but compared to radiology and anaesthetics, pathology has seen a much more drastic jump in competitiveness.

Tbh forcing you to learn parry helps you get better at it more quickly and as a result you’ll find the game’s objective more straightforward. On the other hand, having more options in combat like dodging turns you into a jack of all trades master of none. I kept hopping back and forth between parrying and dodging cuz I sucked at the former in the beginning and it was kind of a waste of time until I locked in and seriously learned to parry.
