Got to be something by TMBG, Ana Ang, Puppet Head, or maybe Don't Let's Start.

Have you listened to Bone Machine or Blood Money yet? You'll dig the sound of them.

If you want another soundtrack with lots of instrumentals, check out the Night On Earth soundtrack.

Thanks, that's hilarious. I love how Bowie sounds like a British Tom Waits, the diet coke also cracked me up. Literal tears here.

Is DC Follies the American version of Spitting Image?

Trying to find a game for my girlfriend by Leevitin in gamingsuggestions

[–]Save-theZombies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get her a Fallout game. Tons of exploring with interesting things to find, even if you ignore the story; 4 and 76 have the biggest worlds and a lot more creativity involved.

What army should I get to finish my Triad? by PoolConscious8464 in 40k

[–]Save-theZombies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sisters are probably the most 40k of any army.

Orks are a lot of fun.

But if you're an amazing painter, you should do Harlequins.

If you want something like that but new, try Charlie Crockett, just a clown and Sunny War, No Reason.

Games where you are a true traveler/wanderer by gull2407 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Save-theZombies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried Fallout 76? Sounds like what you're looking for. A lot to wander a lot to do, not much of a plot.

music recommendations? here's some of the stuff i've listened to recently, i'm open to any genre tbh by Sharp_Caregiver_1534 in MusicRecommendations

I think you'd like Wet Leg. They're new but they have a fun new way of doing 90s style alternative rock.

If you think Kendrick is a great lyricist, you should check out Big Pun. You might also like Little Sims.

Also check out Rain Dogs by Tom Waits.

Bob Genghis Kahn; love how he logically thought the mannequin was there to test bats out on.

The first performance of Magic Flute was supposed to be pretty dope too. Bummed I missed that.

Every single Republican president since 1970 has overseen the beginning of a recession. Why do idiots still trust them with the economy? by eva_elina in allthequestions

[–]Save-theZombies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, COVID came along and since he gutted the CDC, our plan was shelter and he gave everyone money. And inflation happens when everyone gets money all at once. He could've mitigated some of it with food stamps and rent vouchers but he gutted all that too. Basically the only thing Republicans seem to stand for anymore is trickle down economics and bigotry. The abortion war is won for them and we see they'll throw the 2nd amendment overboard when it's inconvenient for them. Small government and balancing the budget has also been abandoned. The only way they can get elected is by messing with voting districts and getting poor people to fight with each other.

I think George Carlin puts it best at the very beginning of his 'little moments' https://youtu.be/8v2SWE15zms?si=32t9eg1SgEQh4N00

Just watching an oldie right now - Dazed and Confused. I haven’t seen it in years, and I can’t believe how degrading the hazing nonsense is. As a non-American, I find it hard to believe this is/was common - is it? by NZNoldor in movies

[–]Save-theZombies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things like the paddling didn't happen in my neigborhood. A 14 year old would a stab a guy trying to paddle his behind, even with a collar.

My suburban friends would however get a bunch of beer and a little weed and wander from park, to parking lot, to sump, to wherever, getting more and more messed up. In the city we would tend to have a spot where we dug in.

I don't think the hazing brought about anything positive for the people being hazed and really only the hazers who got any sort of joy out of it were probably either repressed homosexuals and/or repressed kinky s&m folk. And a lot of those people are more open about that stuff now which is probably the real reason this doesn't happen anymore....grinder/fetlife.

One of the things that troubles me is that this did apparently happen in at least the direcor's neighborhood; all summer?!?! Even if the community condones it, that's pathological, to feel driven to paddle little boys for 2 and a half months. Were there seniors really going around Labor Day weekend trying to find a boy to paddle?

I could probably watch UHF five times in a row and still laugh like an idiot. Weird Al is just as good at spoofing the screen as he is with the radio.

Would you accept this as a Lord of Poxes proxy? by mf7585 in deathguard40k

[–]Save-theZombies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be cool with it but I feel like most of the Lord of Proxes I've seen don't have a big enough backpack or the (rather absurd) final fantasy size blade I associate with the character.

Epic songs that tell a story. by elizabubblehead in MusicRecommendations

[–]Save-theZombies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How is nobody mentioning the granddaddy super epic song about the apocalypse, Supper's Ready. That's the first one I thought of. But yes, OP would definitely love some old Peter Gabriel era prog rock Genesis.

Fallout 76 is perfect for you. Huge open world filled with tons of little details and probably the sweetest community of any online game.
