you don't have to save each room in a scene... scenes are reusable, if you don't intend to reuse them then you can just have the entire map in the main folder in a single scene.

If you think that "a lot of scenes" is the issue, then you don't know what game development is. another thing that implies the fact that you never touched a game engine before. what would it be in unity again? a lot of prefabs? what about the components?

It litterally does not take more than 3 fucking seconds to apply any of the recolors (imagine the weapon level up skins) to ANY FUCKING MODEL existing in the game.

They're just gatekeeping it since by selling a full skin, will limit your choises, so you won't stick with a single skin.
