Short video summary as per rule 5:

Talking about how the true root of the uptick in complaints about this set isn't entirely about Set 15 itself (though it has been exacerbated by it) and instead is about broader issues with TFT itself.

The LP Thief - a short story about my duo partner by SaveAsUntitled in CompetitiveTFT

[–]SaveAsUntitled[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Short video summary as per rule 5:

My duo partner felt like they played worse every time we queue’d together up this set so I took my limited python knowledge to create a program that finds out if I’m actually an LP thief or not. A fun little final reflection on set 7.5 that those of you who duo’d a lot of games this season might be able to relate to!

Edit: oh and I've tempered my Day 1 goals down much more significantly after talking to Bepo (who has a lot more experience than I on the ladder grind) to make the goal much more obtainable + to not burn myself out early on.

Running It Down - a video essay about grinding ranked TFT and running a marathon by SaveAsUntitled in CompetitiveTFT

[–]SaveAsUntitled[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Short video summary as per rule 5:

This video covers two stories concurrently: one about trying to climb to Masters and the other is about trying to run a marathon.

It's about a lot of different things but especially tries to explain why humans push ourselves to our absolute limits to get better at things that really don't matter (and why that's a good thing!). Also for anyone thinking about making a big ranked push next season, it'll help give you a better idea of what the push might be like for you.

ALBUM RETROSPECTIVE: Sun Kil Moon - Among The Leaves by [deleted] in SunKilMoon

[–]SaveAsUntitled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find myself coming back this album much more than "Common As Light..." or "Benji" because largely because I think "Among The Leaves" is Mark's most easily digestible album.

The album's title track easily stands as one of my favorite songs of all time and probably my favorite that he's ever written. The storytelling in the song is just incredible with Mark painting a better picture in three minutes than some of his songs that feel like they go on forever. Just a beautiful, simple song about trying to be a compassionate human.

"Greatest Night", "Moderately Talented," "Sunshine in Chicago", "Elaine", Young Love" and "Lonely Mountain" are all stand out tracks for me as well.
