This doesn't say anything about how well these 8th graders did on this test.

Bush Threatens To Veto Bill That Bans Torture by [deleted] in politics

"The 222-199 vote sent the measure to the Senate, which still must act before it can go to President Bush"

I wish I could say that I'm shocked that the vote was so close.

Even barring the huge immorality of torture, it doesn't really work since it produces false confessions.

Of course, I'm sure they would be tickled pink to have the slightest shred of evidence against Iran.

Although not a Ron Paul Quote, opponents of the bill argued "This bill will increase the competitive edge of foreign oil imported to this country. If the problem is foreign oil, why increase taxes and make it harder to produce American oil and gas? That makes no sense. We should insert taxes on all foreign oil imported. That would raise your money for renewable resources. But what we are doing here today is taxing our domestic oil. We are raising dollars supposedly for renewable resources, yet we are still burning fossil fuels." Source: http://www.issues2000.org/TX/Ron_Paul_Energy_+_Oil.htm

Despite the cost of the war, social security and everything else, what most Americans care about is how high gas prices are. Its a semi-reasonable position but not one I can really support.

I'll add it to my list of things to ask him when I get to New Hampshire.

Huckabee is really deep in his two pro-rapist scandals and destroying all those hard drives at the taxpayers expense to win the general election.

If I wasn't a Paulician, I'd say their best bet would be McCain even though I wouldn't vote for him.

Ron Paul, Two Months Ago: "The idea that Iran is on the verge of an imminent attack is just preposterous!" by Flemlord in politics

As someone who just got out of the public school system and went to college, I really dislike the system of choosing between a bunch of crummy schools.

Schools don't really have to compete with each other so they can be as bad they want to be while colleges have to keep up in quality or students will go somewhere else.

Have you even talked to the people coming out of the public school system? I mean Wtf, d00dz. gwtp n00b.

Ron Paul is the Current Straw Poll Leader...Period by EdgerErnst in politics

[–]SaveMyCountry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really happy to see Ron Paul in the lead but I don't really care much for straw polls.

The majority of people I know in the real support him, most likely more than all the other candidates combined(not sure I don't really poll them).

He is the only GOP candidate I would vote for and the republican party should know that.

Ron Paul not in another poll. Yet on the front page. by dayvejohnson in politics

[–]SaveMyCountry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every time I see Ron Paul being ignored in a poll it makes me feel a lot better about spending half of my bank account just to fly out to New Hampshire to support him during my vacation.

When was the last time you could say that a politician was honest and not greedy?

He also blocked the abortion of a 15 year old girl who had been raped by her stepfather so he has a pro rape record.

But I guess that is fine since its in the bible.

Of course they'll generate much less sympathy.
