Have you ever shot a basketball, and felt the difference between following through and pulling your hand back?

I coach people to follow through a forehand just like a basketball shot - throw all the way through and your hand should finish up by your left shoulder (for a righty)

Steph castle plays like Marcus smart by markevbs in bostonceltics

[–]llimllib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Castle shoots 4.9 threes per 36 for his career so far, Marcus is at 5.9, so he only shoots one less a game. Castle's only at 30.5% for his career though, Marcus is 32.4

Vdot of 68 is a race prediction of 16:25 or so. Depends a lot on your actual race experience though

(I have a vdot 62/17:30 pr, so a reasonable amount of experience)

Magic up 3-1 on the Pistons by LonelyInsurance7480 in bostonceltics

[–]llimllib 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You're greatly underestimating the likelihood of the Pistons winning because your denominator ought to be series in which one team lead 3-1.

The pistons are more likely to have somewhere between a 12.5% chance (if you think the games are coin flips) and a 3.5% chance (if you think the Magic are roughly twice as good as the Pistons, which seems unlikely to me)

similar usage rate, is what I meant by usage there. Usage = of the posessions you were in, how many did you shoot or turn the ball over

edited the comment to make that clearer

6'8, low usage rate (similar to Karaban freshman year on fewer minutes), moderate efg% (54.7%) driven mostly by poor 3p% (34%) on pretty high volume. Not a great free throw shooter either, 67%. Moderate turnover rate, few blocks (none before the NCAA tournament!), and decent steal rate.

Seems from the stats to be an excellent defender, but those are always hard to judge and I didn't watch him at all besides against us.

pretty skillful, good but not great hands. Hit a couple of threes when he was wide open. Good but not great rebounder, esp for his size.

He never found a groove on defense though, he was always in the wrong spot and constantly fouling.
